Well it's a shame you didn't get an answer to your question. I think it would of been a good document of how things go when bringing wifes to the west. From what i can gather she didn't like the cold and rubbish food and hauled ass back to land of lies.

Yes, indeed it is difficult for them to adjust. and I mean any thai person. Every Thai I know here in the USA (even the very successful restaurant owners) always have the ultimate goal in mind. that being to return to the motherland. Life here is just way too different for them. Thai's all have a real pull to Thailand in their hearts. Not to mention that family is so much more importatnt to them than to the average farang. Frequent trips home is the way to make it last - 10+ years.

Yea I understand what you mean.Thais do not adapt near as well as most westerners can to other culture and ways.My Thai girl would rather eat freid beetles than potato chips any day.I could not eat 1/2 of what she loved.
