I really want to like this as all the reviews have been very positive but i am struggling with it at the moment. Its not exactly an album that you would put on to cheer yourself up is it? Hmm...I really don't know what to think thus far. Doesn't sound much like Swans at all, but they're a band that's always been open to change. Guess it will have to grow on me.

I can't wait to see Swans in London next month. I love all of their music, although "Filth" has to be my favorite album. As I'm only 24 I wish I could've experienced the rawness of this band in the early days. Not so I can say "yyeaaahh man it was SO LOUD" but so I could see something being expressed in such a way and which doesn't get lost in the "let-me-hear-you-say-yeah"-s and requests from frontmen to see circle pits.
