  • wow, that looked beautiful lol A+

  • 3:45 best...

  • muito foda

  • quer brisar ,assista este vídeo ,kkkk

  • robot porn!

  • Are those all usefull or is it purely for esthetical purpose? I'm very interested in mechanics I'm thinking of maybe studying in an industrial engineer school in Belgium next year, but I'm still not sure it's the best study I have to do to be able to have fun with things like that.

  • This is the kinda stuff that makes you want to become an engineer.

  • MOST AWESOME VISUAL EFFECT 3:37

  • Alas, clever mechanical motion control like this has now been replaced with Stepper motors, linear actuators, and Computer Numerical Control.

  • Kinda cool

  • Wot a ponse Ziegler1313

  • 2:01 VW wankel engine ?

  • what am i wathing?

  • I can see the purpose in some of them, but for some, I don't see what they could be used for.

  • How could anyone not like this?

  • u gearifyed evrythng

    :D

  • this thing @2:02 reminded me of a Wankel ..... 24 years before it's invention

  • Seems like it's the fourth thing on which you can look for eternity, after a water, fire and stars...

  • 3:00 busted on my desk

  • 2:55 - magic O_o

  • What the hell did I just watch, those Germans and their Arbeit.

  • Now it will be easy for me to sleep tonight :) Thank you VertikaDesign.

  • Mechanics...so addicting! Every time I am almost heading to bed I got to the weird side of YouTube and regret it in the very early morning I have to wake up two hours later. Shit!

  • 28 people dont understand how things fit together.

  • Awesome.

  • 3:46 is the best for sure i do like the simple power of 0:40 but

  • really? i thought 2:55 was the best..or not "best", but most brain punching

  • Завораживает!

  • if Maynard James Keenan teamed up with Archimedes to produce porn.....

  • That movement was so mechanical.

  • Mesmerizing! For some reason i always find mechanical works such as this amazing!

  • 齒輪的變化相當的多,大開眼界。

  • So beautiful, very impressive

    I like it

  • You could make a hidden blade from Assassin's Creed with that last one... Lol, I'm too much of a nerd.

  • amazing!!

  • 3:41 for the thumbnail image.

  • Makes me feel like a robot... o_O

  • That was great!

  • amazing!

  • zica mermo da hora.

  • i like it, it makes me emotion-moving, video+music i mean.

    ( do i wrote in english?) : )

  • Im on the awesome part of youtube... :)

  • More 3:37!

  • This is beautiful.

  • Thanks for the up, it's really breathtaking. :)

  • 2:55 = isn't that what André Citroen developed and used later as the shape for the Citroen logo (double chevron)?

  • @UseTheOilGirl That one stunned me, but when my brain recovered, I couldnt think of what benefit this would have over two normal straight cogs. Other than it hypnotising people.

  • the world was built on these ideas

  • how come this whole thing remind me of limbo?

  • This is going to make round gears jealous. LOL!

  • I finally found the first sex machine made Breathtaking ........

  • 3:20 - супер!

  • you unlock this video with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another deminsion. A deminsion of sight and sound.... you have just crossed over into the Twilight Zone. @.@

  • so many types of movement transformed from simple rotation by different shapes... no wonder humans are the best.

  • whoa, 2:55 is overclocking my brain! I need to lie down...

  • This is beautiful.

  • Do you know whether all of these parts were used just to demonstrate the mechanical principles or did they have any practical uses in other machines?

  • ...and then you wonder what kind of machines those gears are(were) used for.

  • Wow why would I even go to school?

  • @TheBrickbandit Plz stay in school! You'll learn more there than you realize you're learning. You just need to find the subjects you are most passionate about and apply yourself to them. :) good luck!

  • @VertikalDesign Wikipedia gave me more than 11 years of school.

  • @TheBrickbandit Good luck manufacturing any of those things without understanding the mathematical and physical principles behind them. Moreover, without an education would you even know what to do with these mechanisms? Stay in school.

  • i just learned more in 3:00 minutes than the 4 years i spent in highschool.

  • Pi

  • i'm in the intresting part of youtube AGAIN !

  • tic tic toc .. tic tic toc .. tic tic toc.

    awesome vid :) thanx

  • 3:05-3:15 is it the shape of the parts themselves that cause those shudders?

  • @9Mystere9 They were all probably cranked by hand.

  • @9Mystere9 It is the shape that causes the shudders.

  • can some one break into my house and turn my computer off ,as im glued here watching this and fear im going to die like some south korean computer gamer in front of my computer.

  • This is so awesome! I love gears and sprockets! :3

  • 3:45 is the best in my opinion.. or one of the best ;)

  • @hl2nudel ABSOLUTELY!. they're all cool, but damn that one drives me crazy!

  • @hl2nudel I agree!

  • @hl2nudel you mean 3:46?

  • Класс!

  • Now I watch this and I think its really awesome I took engineering at my high school as a 4 year elective. But I stop and ask myself How did I get here? Last thing I remember I was watching some skillet video o.O But yes I must agree with all the other posts, Very relaxing.

  • Why did I enjoy this? =O

  • EXELENTE...

  • 22 people tried to put a square into a circle

  • this is mind f*cking

  • Beautiful video and beautiful song. This here is a gem.

  • This is really calming.

  • mind fuck

  • @@ >< ----

  • Wow. I don't know what that was. But I didnt feel like I was in the weird side of Youtube. Amazing

  • :)

  • Very clever...

  • WTF did I just watch lol

  • Mechanic porn!!

  • Awesome!

  • i just got mind fucked for 4:09

  • You know your bored out of your mind when you end up watching videos like this all day :D

  • This music reminds me of Portal 2

  • the one at 2:01 was pretty trippy

  • muito legal!

  • Haja coração,amigo.é muita emoção!

    Galvão Bueno mode off

  • I felt like this video and audio were working together to try and hypnotize me. O.o

  • Damn these trailers. Where's the full 3-hour movie?

  • really awesome video! Fantastic music selection and very captivating images. Great job!

  • I have never expect Mechanical Principles such as these.

    woo 8)

  • tks 4 posting!!!!

Real experimental vids of the '30

  • Hey! How'd they get inside of my head?

  • I was like "whoa". I could watch this on repeat all day. Seriously.

  • 2:55 is best

  • I don't know why i like watching gears so much. I think I might be a little autistic or something.

  • this is unfathomably beautiful... i can't explain it...

  • I find it extremely easy to masturbate to.

  • Very cool!

  • wow, it liek i was in trance... YEA i was in a peach, calm state... I LIKE THIS

  • Why did I think of sponge bob square pants???? Cool video

  • anyone know what the gear at 3.46 is called??

  • @fag54321 THAT'S MY FAVORITE! It's acting as a type of rack and pinion. It would be nice to know if it has a more official name, like the "Geneva Mechanism" but different. For now let' give it one of our own. Henceforth, I shall call this set an "enclosed double rack slide with captive half pinion" How does that sound?

  • @fag54321 A four tooth gear.

  • 2:55 = Mindfuck

  • @SirVezas Really? I mean, it *looks* cool but it's actually one of the least complicated gears in the set. Now the two sets at 3:41 to 3:52 on the other hand... that *ish blows my mind. to each their own, i guess. thanks for commenting!

  • @VertikalDesign but those gears wouldnt be much use because they wouldnt give a fixed ratio because of there shape i love how its like 1930 and hes basicly explaned how a rotary engine functions lol

  • @SirVezas This whole video is mindfuck!

  • @SirVezas you win. It seems like 2:55 is the crowd favorite.

  • @VertikalDesign Yeah it's mine for sure. It creates a optical illusion (for me anyway), and looks like the gear is flipping over in it's course.

  • 2:01 start of the rotatory motor :P

  • seriously.. watch this stoned... OH MY GOD

  • I don't know why but this was quite relaxing to watch, I think I experienced a bit of zen while staring at this video.

  • awww i though that all these ten second shot were just a small part of a gigantic conrtaption of crap

  • מת

  • my favorit part 2:56

  • 0.o SHE WANTS MY CLOCK

  • have you ever been high as fuuck~

  • This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen.

  • good old times, no damn electronic stuff , just solid steel

  • @lonzabalorda You must like SteamPunk

  • neat stuff

  • is this porn for mechanics and engineers? :D

  • @TheSoundstalker nither, its for robots.

  • @TheSoundstalker I have to admit, I was slightly aroused.... };0)3

  • @TheSoundstalker Yes. Yes it is. Mmmmm . . .

  • @TheSoundstalker Yes...

  • @TheSoundstalker it is :)

  • @TheSoundstalker I guess you could say it...."blows" your mind. :3 That was such a bad joke. I should get a time out for that. :3

  • @TheSoundstalker omg when i was watching this i thought the EXACT same thing.

but it was more along the lines of "i feel like i just watched a porn video"

  • For some reason this is peaceful to watch. Music has half to do with I think.

  • Makes you appreciate the mechanical age, doesn't it.

  • Oddly peaceful

  • Your video has raped my mind

  • 0:59 Cogs getting steamy.

  • Great video. I can fall asleep watching this stuff (in a good way).

  • Clever stuff.

  • Lowkey used this video or a copy of it in one of his music videos Million Man March

  • @CoNiGMa Awesome information, thanks! I searched for and found the Lowkey video you were talking about, and you're right... it definitely is the same!

  • if you think this is steam punk, you are retarded...

  • Open this video, then in the background, open the video for Kraftwerk's Metal on Metal. Fucking ace.

  • synchronic periodicty...damn spellcheck cramping my style

  • Looks like robot porn to me LMFAO

    (agreeing with tierfuehrer2)

  • 3:38 is very hypnotizing

  • I prefer to view this as a work of art, as opposed to an engineering example.

  • fuyooo!!!!!!!!!!! fantastic

  • that was trippy

  • I see waste of energy watching these videos, lost in the mechanism. A great video to show how initial horse power can dwindle before it hits its final application. If that makes sense to anyone.

  • @MegaYeshua33 Confucius say: Power without control is like a horse without reigns. It gets you nowhere, fast.

  • @VertikalDesign Confucius says: Allot :) This video also makes me wish i had a CNC machine. I would make cool things that had a purpose rather then a decorative automotive parts.

  • @VertikalDesign verry wise

  • @MegaYeshua33 I do, I was thinking the same thing with the first love mechanic and how lobes in a cam shaft work in cars. All i can think was "All that missed horsepower :("

  • I luv it!!! some of these mechanisms are so cool to see working !

  • its like getting mind fucked and relaxed

  • Awesome!

  • I suddenly feel more knowledgeable.

  • IMPOSIBRU

  • Wow!

  • All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy....This would be better on acid.

  • Wow! Really nice! Thank you for video!

  • i dont know how i got here.....

  • MEZMERIZING!!

  • Για την εποχή του είναι

     εντυπωσιακό

  • Clock escapements?

  • @sz42781 A lot of them are escapements, but not the actual ones used in watches... more like they recreated large scale models to show how an escapement would work.
