I play bass, and I try SO hard to find that perfect DFA1979 tone. He gets it perfect.

@chrisrcoop he uses an ampeg bass amp through one of his basses inputs, and a marshall guitar amp through the other input so hes actually using a bass tone and a guitar tone at the same time... which is how he gets such lows and highs at the same time. Its fairly simple really. If you didnt know, rickenbackers (his bass) have 2 input jacks, so he runs one to each amp.

It indeed was JFK who got into MSTRKRFT, I love his work in MSTRFKRFT, but I miss the 'upsweeping' tunes from DFA1979.

Grainger is now recording a new album with his new band; Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains, which is to be released early '08.

He also had a drummingpart in K-os' Sunday Morning and his voice can be heard on 'Does It Offend You, Yeah?s Let's Make Out!'
