Last week I got my apple tv 2 jailbroken and I love it! But the power went out in my house and now only the apple logo and a picture of a usb cord show up on the screen. What happened?

This is all fine and dandy for those of you with laptops that can run from room to room. I'm on an iMac desktop which is in another room from the ATV. The only option i have would be to disconnect the power cord in order to move it to another room...this tethered jailbreak for me is a waste of time..let us know when an untethered solution is found....BTW the tutorial is excellent and well performed i just can't use it in my situation...you did a great job with the tutorial however...Thanks!

Hi are you planning on releasing a non tethered version? Bit awkward taking a laptop to various locations where the ATV is installed. Also what happens if the power is switched off? You have to do the whole process again?

Ok thank you for the tethered jb.... Now I would like to install nitoTV and XBMC but I can't.... I was watching some of your other videos but when I reboot my appletv, no nitoTV nor XBMC comes up HELP PLEASE

@LassahDK If you are running on Windows, did you change compatibility and run as administrator? Mine failed until I watched this video and changed that. Worked nicely.

thank you so much for the tutorial. One question, after it is JB, you can't unplug the power cord, and you need to tether boot? Reason being, my TV is in a separate room as my desktop, so when I am done with the JB, I need to unplug it and replug it back in another room. is that mean i can't do it? Thank you so much.

@trinhk my friend when your at your back room or another room you need to boot tether it there too so if you have a laptop just process it and then make sure you don't turn off your AppleTV 2 just leave it hooked up
