@Blacktreemedia: If you never made a creed to be "black" then perhaps you shouldn't have called yourself "Blacktreemedia" which presupposes that it's a youtube channel with predominately African Americans in front of and behind the camera. You probably wont' find a channel with the name "Asian" in it or run by Asians that is giving opportunities to African Americans that could be given to an Asian person. I'm not a racists but I do believe that communities should help their own people first.

They give their own people a shot first and rightfully so. Why is BET so Anglo Saxon, isn't it suppose to be about BLACK people, why is the Spanish, blonde, pretty interviewing? I LOVE the Spanish culture, just not on BET, I want to see black, short nappy (beautiful) dark, no (light skinned) Halle Berry, Beyounce types BORING. CAN WE AS A CULTURE STOP BEING SCARED OF BEING COMPLETELY BLACK. Why are we always, trying to accomidate other cultures? I sure don't see black, dark women representing Us. Something to think about.

Swarthynefertem - Nobody is trying to accomodate other cultures, but at the same time I am not trying to be non inclusive. We just mix it up, and try to keep qualified people in front of the mic, the fact that we focus on events and interview opportunities that are important to the culture we represent should be enough for you. We never made a creed to be just black, because how can 1 even accomplish that to anybodies liking? Blackness is diverse, and I think we should all embrace diversity.

hey, I understand your view. But one must say that simplifying view of blackness has helped them in unification and people power (in number). Black people in North America have generally have a stronger voice simply because that simplification of race has put that many people IN THE SAME POT. Categorising skin tones can also create a lot of division. So in one case or the other, there is always a good side and a bad side of it.
