first of all, there are gay clean vocals and good clean vocals, for exmple james labrie is totally gay but warrel dane is great, screaming and brutal can be like it too, for example bullet for my valentine is gay but dying fetus brutal vocals are fucking brutal, screaming brutal and clean vocals can be together, for example opeth, or cynic, or gojira, or scar symmetry, or primordial, there are 3183181 great bands both use clAen and brutal vocals, so SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

@Loz8900 it didn't start out that way. it started with singers.i used to like screaming, but my taste in music expanded and evolved so when i went back to it i just laughed. some screamers i like, chuck schuldiner, rob halford, king diamond, glenn benton, but i grew up with that shit but some of it is really generic. i really like to hear musical singing, very rarely do you hear a screaming vocalist change his tone.but hey man, im not dissing anyone whatever you're into...i just have good taste

@Loz8900 I don't know there is actually alot of clean signing metal bands if you look.I mean power metal and thrash are huge genres

@Loz8900 Nah man, 50% of it at most. Progressive metal and power metal exist too. Thrash metal has a mixture of both clean singing and yelling. Then there's death metal, black metal and all that grind stuff. Then you've got those weirdo bands like Enditol that combine the shit out of everything.

@EvisceratorBand But there are so many other death metal bands and folk metal. Almost all of Europe is in to that stuff. And ALOT of American bands mix it up, mostly all the metalcore bands. They use the clean singing and growling. It's pretty common now to find most bands using at least SOME screaming in their songs.
