  • folks you have to link us to musicians who can sing and play intricate lines on instruments at the same time, don't say prince cause i've already done that wow, someone else please cause it's amazing what sting does with that bass when he's singing

  • 39 years from now, more people will be born in the 50's. I hope they'll like this song too.

  • Anyone who cant appreciate this band must have a dick going in one ear and popping out the other. That's the only way i can describe those people

  • Sting, Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, Glenn Tilbrook, John Lydon, Morrissey

    Born in the 50s.

  • I wonder what Andy Summers thinks of this song, he was born in '42!!! LOL

  • andy summers used to give guitar lessons at ernieballs in canoga park calif. along with ted green the guitar guru of canoga park in the early seventies. check out teds book cord chemistry awsome!i took lessons from ted and didnt realize it was andy until years later when he was famous.

  • That's an awesome bit of history! Thanks for sharing. :D

  • @maxinedal So cool that Andy Summers would teach guitar in Canoga Park. He totally didn't have to do that. One of my favorite guitarists.

  • fucking self absorbed boomers...They had it all as kids...stay at home moms...new schools..parks...crime free.....Get off the swing already!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This song is so gay. So you were born in the 50's - big fucking deal. You're old as the hills now.

  • @kingofallwhites why don't you go get yourself a pink shirt and a pink dildo and shove it up your ass.

  • @edyantal I like it better when your sister does it.

  • @kingofallwhites when my sister shoves the dildo up your ass ?

  • These guys were fuckin awesome!!

I constantly hear Bonham and Jones or Moon and Entwhistle ....what about Copeland and Sting ...what a god damn rhythm section !

  • Sting is in top form here.

  • i love this song! i love the police!

  • very enjoyable. ta 4 uploading.

    a police fan!

  • The lyrics should actually be, "We were born in the 50s - except for Andy Summers".

    ;-)

  • Nice song! I love police

    Greetings from Mexico!

  • nice track

  • I'm not much into the album version of this song but I LOVE this live version! They were such amazing live performers!!

  • Agreed, a lot of their early songs, with the exception of their hits, sounded better live.

  • Dammit, why couldn't the reunion concert have been this spontaneous and alive?

  • I always get a kick out of how Andy was part of the sixties music scene and instead of following the white blues tradtion of the time, he forged a totally unique musical identity with Stewart and Sting.

  • @aansar So, so true about Andy. I've heard many people say that he's not good. What I hear is that he is not just masturbating blues guitar riffs. He was complimenting, making space, making beautiful textures. The guy has taste.

  • Beat Club Performance 1978!!The police, the best band!!

  • A different band, with different men, from different generations... And it works!!! =D

  • We were making love on a beach...

We were the class they couldnt teach...

    Because we knew better...

    got to love it!

  • Actually, it is "would they drop the bomb on us while we made love on the beach? We were the class they couldn't teach we knew better."
