folks you have to link us to musicians who can sing and play intricate lines on instruments at the same time, don't say prince cause i've already done that wow, someone else please cause it's amazing what sting does with that bass when he's singing
andy summers used to give guitar lessons at ernieballs in canoga park calif. along with ted green the guitar guru of canoga park in the early seventies. check out teds book cord chemistry awsome!i took lessons from ted and didnt realize it was andy until years later when he was famous.
fucking self absorbed boomers...They had it all as kids...stay at home moms...new schools..parks...crime free.....Get off the swing already!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always get a kick out of how Andy was part of the sixties music scene and instead of following the white blues tradtion of the time, he forged a totally unique musical identity with Stewart and Sting.
@aansar So, so true about Andy. I've heard many people say that he's not good. What I hear is that he is not just masturbating blues guitar riffs. He was complimenting, making space, making beautiful textures. The guy has taste.

39 years from now, more people will be born in the 50's. I hope they'll like this song too.

@maxinedal So cool that Andy Summers would teach guitar in Canoga Park. He totally didn't have to do that. One of my favorite guitarists.

This song is so gay. So you were born in the 50's - big fucking deal. You're old as the hills now.

The lyrics should actually be, "We were born in the 50s - except for Andy Summers".

I'm not much into the album version of this song but I LOVE this live version! They were such amazing live performers!!

Agreed, a lot of their early songs, with the exception of their hits, sounded better live.

Dammit, why couldn't the reunion concert have been this spontaneous and alive?
