She had a party with 5 mice at the end, so she doesn't mind company, just as long as its polite and not self-invited/making a big mess like the insects or Mr. Jackson.

It's speculated Potter based Mrs. Tittlemouse off of her own experiences, by the time she published this story, she was famous from her books and had a lot of people coming by her house unannounced, which she didn't like.
