Ahhhh. you need to get the Hi Def pack for blue shift. It's retrogresive so it'll update HL and Opposing force. Totaly changed the game for me. If you have steam you can get this game for $4.99 and the Hi Def pack update for free.

Some guy played Half Life 1, a pretty long game, in about half an hour and blue shift is pretty extremely short, but it takes more time to speedrun?

actually, the HL 1 speed run finished with 29:41, but if you add sda's timing penalties for the hundreds of small segments, it goes up to 31:xx, so this run is still faster.

move forward, swing your mouse in the direction you want to jump, then jump, and right as you hit the ground jump again. Now repeat this to gain more speed. It's tricky and the newer versions have capped bhop speed.
