  • YOUR TO OLD TO BE PLAYING 360 GO TO A CLUB GET A GIRL ANDD GET A LIFE!!! IN OTHER WAYS GET LAID.!!!

  • @Killatwill12 dude i know plenty of older people who play the box and PeeS3 whats so wrong with the old peeps wanting to have fun like where i work this guy came in and he had to be 40 to 50 years old and his whole family wife included plays xbox any they all had there own xboxes but ether way he had a life clearly because his wife was HOT hahaha

  • the towel cool the xbox down

  • what a waste ov time,,just buy a new one,,,

  • @edsterzzzzzz and mayby you dont have money to bye a new one lol

  • you're right

  • if you don't want RRoD buy a PS3

  • @123matchattaxlover If you dont want YLoD buy a 360.

  • @TalkingToPlants which is more common ylod or rrod????

  • @123matchattaxlover RRoD. But YLoD is still possible.

  • heres a list of solutions:

1- theres something called warrenty... for your fuckin problem u have 3 years of warrenty... but for all other problems u will have 1 year warrenty...

2- faget.... how fuckin old r u??? u should stop playing in that age....

3-stop playing and get a life...

  • @wadisupyo There's no rule saying you have to stop playing at a certain age.

  • @wadisupyo who says you cant stop playing at any age and how old are u xboxs ps3 stuff like that are nt ust for a little kid like u now be quite

  • @wadisupyo how about u stop moaning and get a life

  • The Towel method does work temporarily. You should only perform three things to repair an Xbox in a normal situation as this.

First: X-Clamp replacement. This will focus pressure to the solder-joints.

Second: If X-Clamp fails, do a standard reflow. This will melt the solder-joints back together.

Lastly: If all of these fail, then the most likely problem is a solder joint has been smashed. For that you Re-ball. The towel trick can, and will cause flexing and permanently damage the Motherboard

  • @halosparton btw, wondering what all of this is? Google it, or xbox360iso.c o m has some tutorials.

  • idiot. its supposed to be dry. the towel

  • hello any kind of towel trick will ruin your xbox plus calling the idiots at microsoft is a pain just have fun destroying your old xbox & buy a new one

  • ur a retard its not suppost to be wet the towel and ur suppost to take off the hard drive so bassically u did everything wrong.

  • FAG

  • wat a queer turn on the teley

  • i agree.dry towel.wat towel gonna give it water damage u dumb ass

  • wow the wet towel makes it die more u should put a dry towel around it 4 30 min n IT will work it happened 2 mine YOUR WELCOME try it!!!!!!!!!

  • Please dont waster your time on that vid

  • dude your an idiot you put the towel on the motherboard on the inside of the xbox yah douche

  • you know what worked for me was to set on the ground walk away get in a car and run it over than go out and get one with a warranty only 200

  • if it works, throw your xbox out a 2 story window

  • @greebat i did that before. i went down and picked it up plugged it in, red rings gone!

  • This Guy is Such An Idiot. Lets Use WeT Towels what A dumb Ass

  • fridge would work better.

  • DO NOT USE WET TOWELS

  • i saw a differentvideo and he took off the hard drive maybe thats y it didnt work, but he did stop the vid a couple times

  • try plugging it in then turn it on and rap it in a towel then leave it for 20 mins

  • I wanna ps3 so I won't have to put up with this but there expensive

  • you can have mine there worse

  • uhh yeah if you knew what i meant you would understand. when i said probable to happen that means that theres a high percentage of chance it will occur again. i didnt say that it wasnt a temporary fix, i said that its probably for it to happen again meaning re-occur. (hence what i said up there) so no its not a guarantee that it will come back but its most likely as in 90/100 cause i have some friends that did the towel trick (stupid) and it never came back but its most likely to reoccur again.

  • if you use any variant of the towel trick you are a idiot of massive proportions because not only does it short the life of your console it also makes the red rings more probable to happen and it just makes them come back it a couple weeks to a month. I know my xbox tech cause i fix my xbox.

  • ok, if you have to use the towel trick, that means you have a red ring. This means that the probablity of getting a red ring is 100%. So using the towel trick could not possibly make it more probable to get a red ring since you have one anyway. the best thing to do is get a new one, because you are right, the towel trick is only a temporary fix.

  • The permanent fix is buying a PS3... which dont suck ass and if they DO break, they replace them with much less hassle than the POS microsoft bullshit

  • ugh my xbox 360 is trashed its in da inside wat do i do now

  • get a life gayass,go kill urself

  • it worked the first time i did it but when it got the lights again i tried the towel trick again but my xbox turn off???? wtf

  • Shit TV lol

  • LOL i used 3 DRY towels to do it and that worked but after about a week it comes back

  • it does the three red lights because of a hardware problem not because its over heated

  • uhh genius the hardware problems are caused by the X-clamp stupido, use your brain and dont post stupid comments cause your gonna get proven wrong. and yes the X-clamp does create heat on the GPU so yes hence hardware issues.

  • its not the xclamps. i just helped fix my friends today and we use the original xclamps to put it back together and it works fine. You just need some more thermal paste on your gp and cpu.

  • yes for now the x clamps are what put most of the heat on the GPU i know this because i had to fix my own xbox and i didnt know what i was doing and this guy i know showed me the problem which is the main cause for RROD, (overheating), which is cause by the x clamps pushing down on the GPU plus the x clamps are METAL which absorbs heat and the heat is pushed on the the GPU which is practically touching the x clamps. I know this because ive fixed my own, for 1

  • and for 2 microsoft even admitted it that the x clamps are what heat the system as they say " a little to much"

  • worked

  • it worked for me but only for one day, im trying it again right now so il let you know what happened in about 5 mins

  • wow i broke my xbox because of you

  • sux hes gay

  • Dont do this trick it will fuck your dvd reader up and you cant play your 360 anymore

  • when its in the towel your ment to leave the power supply in the back of it and turn it on so the red lights are flashing then wrap it in the towel then wait 30 mins then take it out of the towel let it cool down for 20 mins and then try it and dont use a damp towel use a dry one, hope i helped :D

  • Well, it does do the red circle because it OVER HEATED... so that seems like it would work.

  • no it wont when it over heats it make metal in the xbox exspand and unscrewing it mother bored. and it becomes detached but the solder will not set back in place. you must do that your self but the best thing to do is send it to microsoft and let then deal with it but make shur you havent opend the xbox up befor or it will brake the worent on it and micosoft will not repair it.

  • You did it all wrong, your suppose to wrap your xbox360 in a warm moist towel while its turned on for about 8 hours or so( overnight) then turn it off for at most an hour to cool down( best if its cooled down completely) then turn it back on. Ive done this with my 360 and it worked but its not permenate, the 360 only lasts about 5-6 months just enough time to slowley save for a new one. One problem with this methode is that it voids the warrentry so best of luck to ya!

  • ya it works i promise....but its only temperary, it doesnt fix it for good.... i had to do it to mine about 6 times untill i finally got around to sending it off...but if u have the e74 error or the three flashing red lights just do exactly what i said to do in my other comment

  • Let me get this straight...you fix a broken console, by overheating it? I don't understand these city folk anymore.

  • its the three towls trick!!! not a wet towl trick.......first unplug everything from ur system exept for the power, then turn it on and rap three DRY towls around it and let it cook 4 about 20 - 25 min then take off the towls and unplug the power and let it cool off 4 about 15 min then plug it up and play =} as simple as that........this one isnt a waste of time like the one u just did

  • Thats y i bought an intercooling fan, wen i got my 360. :) havnt had a problem since.

  • If you still have your three year warranty , take off all your accessorys and trade it in. you can transfer your XBL acc. onto your new xbox 360. with every thing you had.

    :D All better.

  • lol your funny

  • They say that the 3 red light problem is the graphics chip or the GPU and CPU so they replaced the ASIC for chips just to save cash.

  • I think the towel is supossed 2 be dry

  • ive done the towel trick, and it only works the one time when you turn the 360 back on...w/e you do, dont turn it off, play it as much as you can...because itll have the rrod again when you turn it off then on again

  • PS3 Doesnt beat 360.

And the PS3 has a death thing to.

Search up the yellow light of death.

  • True but the rate of the "YLOD" is a lot less than "RROD". It occurs, but rarely.

  • the ps2 has the black screen of death.

  • lmfao, i love how the word death is involved with every error in a gaming console. yellow light of death, red ring of death, ... black screen? of death. aha. its true though, if your a gamer and your console malfunctions then it is deathly/

  • and also dont use a wet towel, use a dry one wrap the xbox in it and let it warm up but keep checking its temperature till its slighlty hotter than usual otherwise you will cook it.

  • few problems with this solution

    a. the 3red rings doesnt just mean its definately the GPU overheating issue it can also indicate a number of faults but the GPU is the most common

    b. it doesnt actually fix the problem for good

    c. its meant to trick the Xbox into thinking its far to hot for any sort of normal operation causing it to reset its temperature sensors and clear the fault.

On a side note it did work for my Xbox but I wasnt having any of the symptoms of games crashing, jumping graphics

  • It doesnt, my mates dad is an engineer, and he said 2 whenb you overheat it it melts the circuit break(the problem) and fixes it, HOWEVER it also melts several over wires"

and then "it;'ll lasst around 2 weeks then it;'kll shut down"

  • should be titled wasting peoples time...

  • i thought u were fixing it you fuckin ugly cunt bag!

  • dont fucking act the the gaystation 3 has no problims either assface

  • Buy a wii the ps3 and 360. die dosent matter how good you take care of it

  • hell yea thats that console to buy i didn't even waste my money on a 360 i went straight to PS3 ;)

  • I'm a massive Playstation fan, never even had the urge to buy an Xbox of any sorts lol

  • thats crappy,

  • atleast we know you read but that is realy crappy get the old xbox its better maybe not on grafics but you can leave it on for a week and you wont get red rings.

  • i wouldn't recommend doing this what if you're xbox catches water. don't think microsoft is going to fix that so just send it to them and they'll fix it for you if it's in the period after 3 years you bought it.

  • what the hell r u saying i wanna fix my xbox the towel didnt work for me

  • my xbox 360 360 is not dead yeat becuse i allwayox 360 it work for me nobody cant sole it ps3 is hard to bring to school to the techer will tack it away to you better not bring it to im warn you

  • wtf?

    its called proper spelling..

    stupid kid

  • wtf isnt proper spelling..

  • speak up

  • i thought it was a dry towel, not wet?and btw u got ring of death mostly coz u got it next to a pc and its in an enclosed area

  • its called unplug your xbox from the wall for half hour

  • this works, i did it with my xbox and it worked

  • WOW WTF

  • I thought your supposed to leave the power plugged in and wrap it in 3-5 dry towels..what videos are you watching lol

  • i use double bagged things of dry ice and water!!!!

    it also eliminates freezing!!!!!!

or just use regular ice but it melts faster

  • dry towels dumb speak louder

  • your a jackass for two reasons

    1. its supposed to be dry not wet

    2. anyone who follow the towel method will make your xbox worse every time you use it

    Douchbag

  • I CANT FUCKING HEAR U!

  • the problem call "cold solder".....and cover the xbox to overheat really can work...but you have to count with some good luck.... =T

but to this work it HAVE to be on right position and need pass over the 400 Cº.....i thisnt burn another components good luck...=]

  • your supposed to use a DRY towel a DRY D-R-Y DRY towel

  • the point is not to make it moist, if you did the same thing with dry towels it would have worked.

  • OLD NOB!!!

  • Did any one hear him burp? Lol me and my bro burst out laughting at that part.

  • You Are Supposed To Wrap It In A Regular Towel (NOT WET) And Leave It To Avtually Overheat Even More Then Itll Get Annoyed Of Such Heat And Learn To Stay cool By Itself. Stubborn 360 But It Worked For Me!

  • good theory, but machines dont "get annoyed"

  • the towel is not suppose to be wet...

  • If the AV chip seems out of proportion, chances are the chip is damaged. Folks a word of advice, get a good cooling fan system for the 360. This solves most red ring problems. Also a final thought, I really really regret having bought this system. I should have remained loyal to Playstation. This is the beginning of the end for Microsoft in the gaming business.

  • Ok I can spot mistakes with this process already. Rule #1 always remove the Hard Drive first whenever you are attempting to fix an error. #2 The towel method requires the power to be on when so the 360 can naturally heat on its on. However, the towel method does not work wet or dry, in fact it burns out your 360 motherboard to the point where you are forced to either repair or dispose. The solution is you must clean the gpu. If that doesnt work then make an observation on the AV chip.

  • fanstand

  • Electricity + WET towel: Bad Idea

Hot XBox + Towel: Overheating, Burning, Bad Idea

  • none of the towel tricks actually work they jus make things worse

  • Bad idea, never use a wet towel

  • he wasted an hour and 20 minutes of his life on some stupid trick send it to microsoft and get the inter cooler it helps alot

  • i cant understand a word your saying

  • If you got an error message or graphical glitch after or whilst playing fable II, watch my video it will help.

    Thanks.

  • erm... im confused for like 3 days ive had rrod but i just turned it on now and it is working a lil it freezeez sum times it may be my disc its always done that

  • What a waste of my time

  • no actually leave for half an hour and 2 lights don't come up sorry for the mistake down below

  • lol 1 red light only means xbox meltdown

(means its in no state of repair)

  • this is serious im doing my method right now...

    all you do is

u keep the power plug bit in the back unplug av cable out of xbox rap it in 2 towels turn it on and lean it against a table or something near you at a 45 degree angle and leave for about 1 hour or more if 2 red lights come up un plug everything and let it cool down at a 45 degree angle and after it cooled down plug it all in and should work it did for me :):)

  • is this not a fire hazard?

  • u r a dick head and u need some mates lad

  • cant hear u!

  • bet ur single!?! game cube and a xbox!! HAHA ! need ta get out more lad!

  • Er....I can barly hear him

  • i did this towel trick and it worked for about 30 minutes. does anybody know why?

  • lol only most set in start kabel...

  • you did it wrong.. The xbox has to still be plugged in and running while you wrap it in towels.. so heat is still being generated

  • right on man

  • ROFLLLLLLl

    \copter

  • ok what you do is take the hard drive out an take your rca cable an just leave power in turn your xbox on an leave it on the rap it in two towel or more if needed wait 10 - 15 minites then take it out of the towels take out your power cable open windows in your room an let it cool for 10 - 15 minites they hey presto you got your xbox back i dont know who told you this one about wet towels but its stupid an so are you for trying it

  • I tried this but it just made my towel smell like my xbox 360 and now i have dead skin in my xbox air vent =(

You've ruined my day, and a perfectly good towell YOU IDIOT.

  • I had a poo on my xbox and now it smells

  • ? lol

  • duh the shitbox 360

  • lol a wet towel are you trying to fix it or just make sure it will never work again??? had to laugh when you said come here often just had a thought of what they said when my xbox 360 elite got sent away for repair i bet they hire a polish guy to stand there and say it to everyone!!! lol

  • your supost to wrap it in a dry towel with it switched on for 30mins then the two lights on the left light up saying its overheating then you turn off wait 10 mins to cool and then switch it back on and it will work that or just call microsoft and get it fixed for free

  • lmao my mate had the 3 redlights and couldnt be bothered to send it off, dunno why (lazy i guess) so he thought hes break it and claim on the insurance lol, so basically he brought himself to through his pride and joy down the stairs and he plugged it in to see how badly fucked it was to see if it would turn on, and it did WITHOUT the 3 red lights i couldnt believe what i had just seen, DONT TRY IT OFC! OBVIOUSLY A FLUKE, i dont think microsoft just throw broken xboxs down stairs all day lmao

  • if thats a true story then that is fucking classic. lmao. and why are you saying dont try it? if your 360 has the red lights its fucked anyway. so why the fuck not? lmao, might as well have a try. and a laugh

  • You gotta overheat the console so the solder balls on the GPU melt back to the motherboard, you can just block the vents at the back until you get the 2 red lights. then let it cool down and it will work for a while.. But the problem is the X clamp that holds the GPU heatsink on. It contracts when it gets hot and bends the motherboard away from the GPU chip. It can be permanentley fixed if you get a X clamp replacement kit.

  • it didnt work because your suppose to leave it turned on you dip shit

  • no wonder it didnt work u id it wrong

  • "all i had to do was piss on my xbox and it started working"

attacly as stuipd as it may sound, it works, im not kidding
