The first pick is replaced. There are the same balls in the bag for the second draw. If you don't replace then you have the situation that I describe in the second video Probability - Tree Diagrams 2. Take a look.
clear and to the point. Very nicely done! Thank you for helping me, you've just convinced me that half of my math teachers in school should get fired :)
Thank you very much, friend. It's somewhat irritating to see that I've been doing this for the past 6 months in a somewhat slower, more tedious fashion than what's been shown to me in this video. So thank you, but also damn you for not showing this to me sooner :)
Very great job man! I wish there were more people like you! It took about 35 minutes for my teacher to explain a Tree diagram but I still did not understand anything!!
However this video which is about 6 minutes taught me everything about it! Now i'm prepared for the test we have tomorrow.
I just wanna thank you for sharing your knowledge to us and too keep up your good work! You deserve allot more subscribers than other people in YouTube
wow, my teacher never told me anything about an outcome, it's made it so much easier so starting from i'll be using an outcome everytime i come across and ANNOYING tree diagram problem, THX FOR THE HELP!! :D
great job!, i really understood the material, im n college and the lecture class is taught by a grad student who has no idea how to teach, i am completely lost..this is the first tutorial i watched tonigt, and i have many left to go, b/c the test is tommorrow and i cannot fail.. 6 min of info understood, wen he taught it for a whole hour and i almost went brain dead
I have this probability question that I need you to help me solve:
Customers at a video store are allowed to rent one ,two or three movies.Use a tree diagram to list the sample space for the number of movies rented by three customers(assuming that each one rents at least one movie.)

thnk you soo much sir this vedeo of ur are very helpful and nice and striaghtword. Even my teacher could not teach me, the way you have done this probability is amazing. again thnk you soo much for putting ur time and efforts of making this lovely and useful video clip.
i do not understand why my teacher done on the 1st pick like 7/9 and 2/9 ad then on the second pick he changed the denominator to 5/8 and 3/8 maybe one had to be chucked out i dunno
Hi take a look ot Probability - Tree diagrams 2. The first video is about putting the sweets back each tim. The second is about not replacing. That's what makes the difference.
I have looked through three books and I could not understand this... I have felt very frustrated throughout most of the day regarding not grasping a question in my numeracy booklet.
Your video is so clear and straight forward to follow - I now grasp the question i was struggling to answer. Thank you for taking the time to create these series of videos you offer, they are extremely helpful!
Thank You So Much i have a gcse on data handling on monday and this is the only part i did not understand i totally understand probability tree diagrams all thanks too you
it is its too long and i cnt explain and dats not how my maths teacher done it so i dunno :S im cunfused atm coz i got a exam on monday on Data handling on the second pick it souldnt be 7/10 and 3/10 it sould be 6/9 and 3/9 because if you pick a blue ball there are 9 balls left in the bag and 6 blue balls now therefore it has to be 6/9 and 3/9 but for red it has to be 7/9 and 2/9 :S if you get what i mean :)
Look at the question. It says the ball is replaced after the first pick, so there are the same balls for the second pick. What you're talking about is when the first ball is not replaced.
In a few minutes I'll upload a video with the same question but with replacement. It will be called Probability Tree diagrams 2. Let me know what you think.
THANK YOU

The second pick is wrong. Wouldn't it become 6/9 because we already picked blue leaving 6 other blues and a total of 9
