That "plastic pad" you're ranting about is a Wacom Intuos4 which is somewhat the "Little Brother" of the Wacom Cintiq which IS a Screen to DIRECTLY brush on like that LapTop shown @ 2:50 / 3:33 using a pressure sensitive Stylus instead of Fingers.

LOL! weak? are you kidding me? this is a prototype and it is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the other ways you can draw one to one with a computer.

If you coudl use a bare brush DIRECTLY on the screen, that would be awesome, but based on the video, you apparently need a plastic pad.

They didn't show the Wacom Cintiq, here, in conjunction with Project Gustav.
