  • Thank you!!! This video gave me the exact info I was looking for, I'm buying this heatsink and I have the same ram as you.

  • The h50 is a piece of monkey shit, waste of money, louder than an air cooler, and idle temps don't mean shit... Oh and playing wow is not a full load so don't try that "I run at 35c full load" Bs

  • Will this cpu cooler fit the Corsair Vengeance?

  • NVM, got them to fit with both Corsair Vengeance and G Skill Ripjaw X Series.

  • Thank you so much for this video mate it really sealed the deal for me because I have the same exact ram.

  • the corsair vengeance ram though does not fit under there D=

  • Thanks for the useful info!!!!!

  • do you think 16 gb of ripjaws x in a asus maximus iv extreme will fit perfectly with the noctua nh d14

  • Can I exchange the ugly fan for another fan with some led?

  • @ElitePokerPlayer I think LED's on computers are ugly as hell.

  • @Mkilbride2599 well at least let the fan be colored, lol. Led is sometimes a little annoying if you go too far. I like a light glow just not blasting.

  • @ElitePokerPlayer Why? You should spend almost no time looking at your computer parts, once installed, unless you're monitoring for something. LED's just shine bright. I like my case as dark as possible. I like to blend into the darkness, so I can concentrate on my monitor. It also helps with noise. A Psychological effect, yes, I don't see it, so I also put any sounds it makes out of my mind.

  • Hmmm, this means the G.Skill Sniper RAM will fit too, heatsink is about the same height.

  • google "d14 ram compatibility" to see if your ram will fit

  • *wipes sweat off forehead* whew, glad to see. I knew G.SKill fit w/ NH-D14, but I wasn't sure if they meant ALL the dimm slots lol. I'm so glad I can SEE that my 8gb (4x2gb sticks) WILL fit. now , time to get a couple SSD's in RAID0 and I'm set for 4 or 5 years :)

  • holy shit that's not a heat sink ... that's a fucking radiator..

  • perfect review, partly because of this video im going to buy the D14 in my new gaming build that has been long overdue, but soon! thanks~

  • will the ripjaws X work as well? anyone?

  • Will Corsair Vengeance fit?

  • Thanks a lot for this info!

  • I have no problem inserting ram into the first three dimm slot. The fourth dimm slot is getting me problem. Is there a way to insert without removing the heatsink. It will be a lot of work if I have to.

Another question. Do I have to update to the latest bios (F9) I believe in order the the motherboard to recognize 16GB. I don't have a floppy drive. I tried to boot from USB flash drive and update that way but didn't work, or I set it up incorrectly in the bios. Any idea?

  • I have the exact mobo and heatsink. I am planning to add another pair of G.Skill Ripjaws, Is it possible to insert ram into the 2nd and 4th dimm slot with the heatsink still attached?

  • @jtcber You could most likely do it by just removing the front fan, as it seems to cover all 4 slots.

  • Good information!

  • Yea im using the Noctua D-14 also but im unsing the Corsair Dom with hitsinks and i have to move my front fan out some and also took off 2 heatsink off the 12 gigs i run. looks like ill be making the switch to Ripjaw's,

    X58 Evga Mobo

  • @LaczupakabraPL is there a reason why you didn't put the ram in the blue ram slots?

  • Very helpful video. Thanks a million, dude!

  • Thanks for the info mate!

  • Well done. Thanks for making the effort to put this video together.

    cheers

  • Thanks heaps for the video!

This video is extremely helpful to me and know I can be sure my memory sticks will fit under the NH-D14 :D

    Cheers!

  • did you spread it with a credit card or simply use the rice grain method?

one of my friends which got an nh-d14 told me that this thermal compound got a high viscosity and it is better to spread it with a credit card, even though I think there will be less air bubbles if I use the rice grain method.

  • thanks for makey the video!

  • Siema nie chce się czepiać, ALE ALE:)

Pod koniec powiedziałeś "you can fit your ram easily even 8gigs" spoko ale to że będzie 8giga to nie robi żadnej różnicy w wysokości:)

You can even fit 16 gigs, but the heatsink on your ram cannot be to high.

A tak poza tym to spoko video, może okazać się bardzo pomocne dla wielu osób które stoją przed dylematem jakie memorki kupić pod NHD14.

    Duży+

    Trzymaj się.

  • Awesome. Thanks OP. Not sure of I buy it cause I have hyper 212+ but we shall see. At least I know that there is space for my G.Skill Ripjaws X.

  • Thank you sooooooo much. I've been wanting to get this heatsink cause my current one is to short.

  • Best video on youtube involving this cooler. This is the only thing people are worried about and you showed and answers my question. Will this fit with ram heat sinks. Thanks for this video!

  • this is great! I was going to get the G.Skill ram for my first build and wanted to get this cooler but had no idea if they would fit together. Your video helped so much. Thanks!!

  • I got the Noctua NH-D14 and it cools like a dream, fits with good margin in my Coolermaster HAF 912 case.

  • im buying this combo when im uppgrading to bulldozer or sandy bridge

  • nice, ty

  • MAN, TKS ALOT!!!!!!!

  • thx!! :D

  • Very useful information! Thank you! What mobo are you using?

  • @wigglerthefish It was Gigabyte P55A-UD4 and i7 860. Thanks ;)

  • @LaczupakabraPL Could the vengance 8gb kit will fit with the noctua nh-d14?

its a 2 sticks kit for the 1155 socket?

  • @LaczupakabraPL Thank you for your information...I will install the Noctua on Asus Maximus VI Extreme Z exactly with G.Skill Ripjaws and Sandy Bridge 2700K...Was just curious will they fit...Thank you for your great video...Cheers....

  • thanks here too.

  • @bradrhoades102840 Well it is not, h50 has laud pomp and the preformance is poor even on push pull config. D14 is way better, trust me i have both! Cheers

  • @LaczupakabraPL I.can't hear the pump on mine, and my quadcore at 3.65 idles at 23 degrees celcius.....so it works wonders for me

  • @LaczupakabraPL Siemasz. Fajny film, z pewnością pomocny. Osobiście mam tylko ejszcze jedno pytanko. Czy myslisz, że kostki ramu corsair vengeance blue się zmieszą pod tę bestyję?

  • @bradrhoades102840

The H50 cant compete with the D14 or Mugen 2 Rev B.

Its a decent water cooling system, but its nothing great.

  • @bradrhoades102840 this beats the h50

  • @bradrhoades102840 I have just bought a noctua nh d14 to replace my H50 as i'm not happy with the temps i'm getting. H50 is NOT better than noctua not by a long way

  • @bradrhoades102840

Multiple tests and reviews show that the noctua is better...

  • @bradrhoades102840 u gotta be jokein the h50 is a horrid cooler for overclocking doesnt even come close to the d14 in any respect

  • I have the 140mm at the front and its cooling my ram...

  • Thank you, this is very helpful!

  • Such a helpful video, thank you so much!

  • thanks for making this video puts my mind at rest for my upgrade parts

  • @leezaal No problem mate

  • Thank you for showing the compatibility of the Noctua with your RAM. I am very happy to see this and looking forward to my upcoming pc build with these sticks! :)

  • Thank you SO much!!

Very very helpful to me when searching for ram for my new build (I have never seen the D14 in person yet so I had no idea if it would fit).

    Video is worth 10,000 words.

  • Thank you your information. God bless you.

    Core i7-950

    Noctua NH-D14

    Motorola SB6180

    ASUS P6X58D Premium

    F3-16000CL9T-12GBRM

    Corsair 750watt PSU

    Nvidia GeForce 7900 GTX

  • @gianese Sweet system! Merry christmas

  • In my new build, I am thinking of going with this Noctua over the Corsair H50 liquid cooler, but the size of the Noctua concerns me with the vertical motherboard setup that my case, the Raven 1, uses. Is the mounting system secure and solid enough that I don't have to worry about this beast bending my motherboard over time? This is the only thing keeping me from picking up the Noctua at the moment.

  • Thank you very much!

  • @BustardAMD no problem

  • thanks man! This has been worrying me ever since I decided on the Noctua cooler for my future rig. It's nice to finally see someone SHOW the ram fitting. super helpful!

  • Most epic video. Now I know I can buy the Nocturna with my Ripjaw Ram. Nobody on youtube has made a video to show that the two in fact work fine together with just enough room to make it work. Thanks for the share!

  • Thanks for the video, I mean seriously, I've been searching around for hours trying to figure out if my ram will fit on a similar am3 gigabyte board with the Noctua14. MoetheTech is right- "most useful video ever!" I was a afraid my G.SKILL PIS Series wouldn't fit, but I had no idea you could mount the fan higher. Since I'll be using slots 3+4 only, I should have no trouble :) TY again!

  • @ LaczupakabraPL

Thanks for the video, will buy Noctua NH-D14 cooler next week....

  • nice, i have ASUS P6T Deluxe V2, intel corei7 930 and GSkill RIP JAW 3 sticks F3-12800CL8T-6GBRM (2Gx3) will it fit on this setup perfectly...

  • Either they're gonna have to make high performance cpu's that run cooler or heatsinks that are smaller and still perform b/c the size of heat sinks these days is getting ridiculous.

  • I hesitate between h50 in push pull or noctua nh-d14 to cool at a mieu i5 750 4.3 ghz vcore 1.36

thank you for the video I was afraid that it does not go with my g-skill

  • Great video ! Could you or anybody tell me wether it is the same with the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9 ? What RAM could use with it ? Thanks a lot ! ;)

  • exactly why i picked G.Skill Ripjaws to go with a Noctua NH-D14

    : )

  • zajebisty sprzęcior 5/5 ;]

  • @Sekcja0serowa Dziękówa

  • I have the Ripjaws also.

And I'm gonna buh the NH-D14.

But I'll install it the other way round.

So that the fan which is over the RAM will be at the other side and bloß the air out.

  • finally a useful video - thanks you so much :) so so so much

  • man, most usefull video ever! every video ive seen on the noctua no one ever shows how the memory fits!

  • @MoetheTech Thank You so much!

  • Thank you.

  • Looking great , excellent cooler and have Ripjaws myself too dam great Ram

  • good video

  • @ChronoDetector I just ordered Black Ripjwas CL7, i will let You know my opinion. Thanks !

  • fajny rad szkoda ze niama copper podstawki

  • wow that is great!!!! Love it!!!

  • great video, keep up the great work m8

  • At least it fits :)

  • nice

  • This really is a huge and massive cooler. Personally I would be concerned about the stability while moving or pushing around the case, the weight of the noctua must create a huge pressure on the motherboard. That is an issue I have with this cooler. But without a doubt this cooling solution will handle the temps of your cpu without a problem.

Great video, thumbs up of course and continue your great work on producing this informative videos. Take care and many greetings.

  • He doesn't have to worry about the weight on the board... it's gigabyte :D

  • @waackomann

    affirm !

  • That looks so friken nice man ! Do you want to give it to me?? ahah :D ;)

Great video 5***** / thumbs up
