  • Man, Wallace and Gromit have tried so many ways to earn money. They had a room for rent, they cleaned window, a pest control serisve, they became bakers, started a honey business, an indoors water park, an ice cream serisve, and a lost item dedective agentcy. I wonder what they'll do next? Maybe they'll be Invisticated Journalists.

  • yeah the tune was happy bday, not for he's a jolly good fellow

  • is it me or is this the only clip that isn't intended for anyone over the age of 18?

  • "Oh, er-er steady on. WOOOOAAAAAHHHH! GROMIII-IIIT! - OOF!" lol

  • The Jam is actually ketchup :)

  • LOL i like the ending

  • Maybe it's just me, but I distinctly remember that card in the beginning playing "Happy Birthday to You" instead of "He's a Jolly Good Fellow." Answers, anyone?

  • @sakume I remember He's a jolly good fellow.

  • @TheAstralSerpent By reading the comments it was originally happy birthday. I looked at my tape to make sure.

  • @sakume Depends on whether they had rights to play "Happy Birthday". It was probably changed later.

  • @sakume "Happy Birthday" is actually a licensed song that requires royalties when played publicly. Really. Google "Happy Birthday Copyright."

  • @phillipremaker what a sucker..

  • @sakume Copyright bullshit, my friend. Unfortunetly, "Happy Birthday to You" had to be replaced with "He's a Jolly Good Fellow"

  • Yes you did hear the birthday theme, but for some reason on video tape, DVD, ect thay changed it to He's A Jolly Good Fellow"

  • @sakume yeah happy birthday to you was on the vhs version of "The Wrong Trousers."

  • @sakume Happpy birthday to you is infact a copyrighted song where as 'hes a jolly good fellow' is not :) At the time they did not have much money so they had to change it to a song that had no copyright, Which was that one :)

  • @jimbolimboboy Happy Birthday to you is copyrighted? Seriously? Who owns that?

  • Holly crap. I just looked it up. It's owned by AOL Time Warner and brings in roughly $2 million annually.

  • @elgmalone It's crazy some of the stuff that is copyrighted..

  • @sakume It's not just you. I remember it playing "Happy Birthday to You."

  • @sakume I believe that music's been copyrighted. They probably changed it to avoid a potential lawsuit.

  • @sakume Copyright issues, last I heard

  • @sakume it definitely did

  • @sakume I have this film on VHS, it's definitely FHAJGF!

  • @sakume Yeah due to copy right they had to change it some of the songs playing out of Feathers radio are different as well ):

  • oh god, that jam toast looks delicious D:

  • 25 people put on the wrong trousers

  • claymation always creeped me out when i was younger lol

  • id love to have one of those bed things

  • why his jam looks like ketchup

  • @xyntota because ketchub and jam are both made from one thing............red clay DUH

  • @ahmedhow no it is actually ketchup Nick Park explained that in an interview

  • Oh lordy! i remember having this on VHS as a young lad! Best Video i ever owned! But on the video when gromit opened the card a horrid beepy version of the happy birthday song came out of the card! So why on here is it a lullaby of "He's a jolly good fellow"? XD

  • @kingwellytop it might be a tape malfuntion, speaker malfunction, or VHS malfunction

  • I don't wanna see a fucking 15 minute ad before a video. There' s no point...

  • different country is philippines

  • @StarWolfiexx I'm glad to hear that. Peter Sallis voices Wallace NOT Gromit.

  • @mermaidamp yeah! gromit has no voice lol

  • I saw this claymated cartoon when I was in middle school for Drama class.

  • I have three VHS tapes of the first three installments of Wallace And Gromit - The Wrong Trousers, A Grand Day Out and A Close Shave - which I still watch (and love!) to this day. They're so much better than the kinds of uninspired drivel which seems to have taken over television in the last ten years!

  • So many wonderful memories :] Still the best claymation. Can't be beat.

  • Release date, not upload date, people.

  • type gift in before youtube on your address bar!

  • It took 8 minutes for the animators to get the frames for Wallace to say, "toast." Imagine how long the rest of the film took.

  • @MyUknown123

    was*

  • i wanna have sex with wallace

  • This clip leaves out the punch line...Crackin' good toast Gromit!

  • For anyone who is curious, it was changed because "Happy Birthday" became a copyrighted song in the time between the original version (1993) and the DVD release.

  • The jam & toast bit would be a brilliant thing to have!

  • I LOVE Gromit's reaction to the card. :D

  • cracking toast boaring video make a new wallace and gromit lol
