Anyone who thinks all mathmetal, hardcore, mathmetal or whatever sound the same should consider picking up an instrument or two and learning how to fucking play them with a decent measure of proficiency. Every band has its own preference for time signatures and the likes.

The majority of the bands you named as shit are Metalcore and that is true. Metalcore bands (for the most part) sound almost exactly the same and VERY generic. I, personally, think TDTA is pretty fucking good and original, but I would say that the most original sounding bands out right now would be ones of the Mathcore genre such as Fear Before the March of Flames, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Protest the Hero (eh), and The Human Abstract.

No, they're not as bad as In Flames, Himsa, Lamb of God, Unearth etc. but they are Coldplays and Interpols.
