The conscience is a perfectly natural thing. It can be explained by evolution. i'm sure chimps, dolphins and elepahts all have the same thing. We can just question it because we have sentience. Hell, maybe they question it as well but we can't ask them because we can't communicate on their level.

My argument is that they are born into us. Try reading my comments. I said we are born with an innate sense of right and wrong due to our social evolutionary past. It is society which standardizes what is right and wrong which is why different cultures view different moral questions differently. Your arguments are false and weak....oh wait you haven't actually provided any.
Why does there have to a someone? You pre-suppose there must be a someone. Right and wrong is created by society based on our evolved social instincts. It's why in Britain capital punishment is seen as wrong were as in the IS it is seen as right. If there was one standard of right and wrong wouldn't it be the same everywhere?
We're social animals. We evolved in a way that imbues us with a sense of right and wrong. Simple as. You see it in the behaviour of all social animals. Chimps don't go around slaughtering members of their own group. If they did they'd quickly die out.

I just try and live as good a life as I can without doing it so i don't upset some kind of imaginary sky daddy. if that makes me evil, then I guess I'm evil but I'm the one who goes to bed with a clear conscience knowing that I've tried to do right for the sake of doing right, not just because I want to avoid eternal damnation.
