That black and white cat of yours looks like my favourite pussycat John boy. During the winter, my cat likes to snuggle up with me at bedtime. But in the summer, he likes to sleep downstairs in the kitchen. He's very cute your cat. And I think you're right. His purring does sound like a lawnmower. I don't understand how people can hate cats. i mean i understand some people just don't like cats as a matter of preference but I just dont understand how people can hate them and do awfull things. I saw a video of some evil people burning a poor cat alive and later laughing about it as it screamed in pain. I was so disturbed by it ...hopefully watching these videos will make me feel better....I just cant understand how people can be so cruel

@009090 You can readily find it all over the internet. I think its called "cat burned alive in cage". I honestly do not recommend watching as it is EXTREMELY disturbing. You can't see much because the gulf of flame is so big, but the cat makes agonizing noises that I NEVER heard any cat make. At first I thought it was a joke but went I saw the bastards pouring gasoline over it I knew it was for real. I regret watching the video, but at the same time I'm thankful I did because it opened my eyes

@durango112 to truly horrifying world of animal cruelty. I am about to become a monthly donor to the ASPCA so that at least these things can be prevented as much as it can. I can't help but feel very sad for that poor cat even though its been months since I've seen that video. Every time I play with my cat, I think about the agonizing pain that poor cat needlessly went through. I don't hate people, as hate is a strong word, but I truly hate those that do these horrible things to animals.

When I first came to the US at the age of 14, I used to stay with a host family.

Either it was because I was unsocial, or because I had a hard time picking up the speech pattern, I was not very sociable with the family.

They had 2 cats. One day when I came home from school, I was tired and laid in bed with my door open, one of the cats came in, very quietly.

It leaped from the floor to my chest and started pushing its head against me. He was my first friend on this strange land :).
