Love the line by N'Deaye Ba (great actress. RIP) at 4.35 where she says "Could you stay in one place, sir, so we can count you". I've always wondered how long it takes to count one person. Great film!
Not being from the UK, I loved this film as I learned a bit what school is like there. In the US we have schools like the one portrayed here. I think that, eventhough change does not occur from just one person, change can BEGIN with one person. And, it often must start from the top down; Administration leads the way.
I loved the message of the film. Who cares if it didn't follow the real account exactly. Main thing is to Learn and move on. -Having said that, I ADORE Julie! What a talent! :)
I hope you guys dont really think that she was the main cause for the school to improve??? this film is very biased, i should know, i was there from the day she took over till the day she left. yes she brought some positives but she was not the main factor, some events are FAKE, eg the grafiti in the gym and god know how many others were fake too. it has been exagerated A LOT. it was her luck that student were more civilised when she took over. plz go on the 1st part and read my comment!

amazing, amazing movie. It's one of those Music of the Heart, Mr. Hollands Opus types that are just...awe inspiring. And Julie Walters does a phenomenal job.
This was an amazing film:) & she's so brave ( her characters role) for never giving up on the kids!:)
