To bad the movie SUCKED after the first half. this camera is a joke. same shit we can do in post. way to kill ur budget and have visual effects ruin a story. it was cool at the start but annoyingly overused
of this I am not sure but this camera s elements can adapt the same alexa arri lenses work is well light but my taste is way too warm and the scenery is very noticeable whites in fact almost nothing, and the stabilization and sun factor unless of course you would like to give a somewhat more realistic effect
should be concerned more for stabilization than not know the lens mount, this quality can be so simple, however Alans with HYDRA HVX100 and not spend so much on a 2k if that is not complete, my recommendation is that if you spend the to buy one if 2k use Fujinon lenses without UV filter so as not seen the RGB 4:4:4 camcorder
@Snugglepaw This is a RAW D-cinema camera with very high lattitude and colour depth, you can't get that out of a regular camera. The redrock is a S35 format, these guys use medium film format 6x4 or 6x6. Awsome!
Spinning "anything" (actually the shutter not the ground glass) does not give the illusion of depth of field. Pany Genesis /F35, Arri Alexa, RED, new F3 all replicate 35mm by using the same size sensor as super 35 film camera and use regular cinema lenses.
nice bellows, you guys should add me on face book, matthew gorveatte is my name, you are the type of ppl i want to know, for the futre, in what i am creating, i need your minds

You can accomplish this exact look with a Redrock unit and any regular camera.

The so called 'top secret' bit is just a spinning ground glass to replicate 35mm depth-of-field.
