humbuckers have a warmer tone and can handle distortion & overdrive without much feedback. Neither is more professional than the other, its a matter of tone preference.

lets clear some things up... Single coils produce way more feedback especially when the amp is overdriven, I mean hendrix incorporated the feedback in his playing. However they have a gorgeous distinctive bright sound. Humbuckers were designed to elimate the amount of feedback guitarists were experiencing with single coil, they are essentially two single coil pickups with opposite polarity.

there is more blues in the jazz than one might think at first. besides from that the borders between blues jazz and all the other genres are fluidly..... so when you say that it sounds jazzy, it's allright! but it's a 1-4-5 chord progression, so "technically" it's a blues ;-)

the "1" is the root note, the c, the "4" is the fourth note (or better the 4th chord of the c major scale (f) and the 5 is the g.

Do u have any idea what you are talking about. First, humbuckers give more feedback than single coils. Second humbuckers give a darker tone than single coils, used more in metal and distorted stuff, you can really get a clean sound out of them.

Single coils on the other had are the exact opposite they still sound bright and clear, a more general bluesy rock tone

an Electro-Harmonix POG or a HOG could give you the organ sound he got while their microsynth pedal( requiring no special synth pickup) could give you the 1:50 sounds
