MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) has proven to be quite powerfull in terms of music. I simply don't understand how the world is still listening to what comes USA (except the jazz and folk-music). In this sense, I still prefer the british rock scene instead the american rock. Anyway, MPB is the best music made in the world. NO DOUBT!!!!

umm.. u think that because u are brazilian and genuinely like brazillian music, but most people in the world wont share that brazillian popular music is even close to the best. the tribalistas since i am almost fluent at portugues is hands down one of the best groups of the 2000s, i would put it in the top 10 of the 2000s at the very least, bt many other people i bet dont give a fuck about brazilian music

yes, boratmania, you're right, almost nobody gives a fuck about brazilian music, but I also don't give a fuck to them... All I want is to listen any good music, no matter what anybody else thinks about my taste. That said, I would recommend you to listen to Luis Melodia, Sergio Sampaio, Itamar Assumpcao, Clara Nunes, Nana Caymmi, Dorival Caymmi (all Caymmmi's family are excellent musicians). All these guys are brazilian (thanks God!). Now, what do you recommend in the african musical scene?

man the african music scene like haha kinda difficult man.like many of the songs i know more in africa are very pop oriented, cause since im living abroad i only hear the mainstream afro music there are many more traditionalized ones tht arent found on the internet. in mozambique we have antonio marcos, zaida lhongo, rosaria mboa, - and those all are very traditional and awesome. in the mozambique pop and hip hop scene we hav many if u request ill send it to u later cause im running out of words
