I have a bike you can borrow if you make it to Indiana, if you don't mind riding a BMW. We are infested with trees and winding roads down south where I live. We have what we call Knobs down here, our version of "mountains" . I'm on the Ohio River, so like I said if you ever make it here you have a bike to use. Thanks for posting this, Iceland has stunning vistas, almost moon scape in some instances. Reminds me of a frozen desert, it's starkly beautiful.
Beautiful!! I was in Iceland for the 06 Airwaves and I'm dying to go back! The Icelandic people are so nice and friendly and the scenery is truly spectacular! I wish I could do this ride but the road is closed from Los Angeles ;) Thanks for posting!
Most everyone over in Iceland speaks English although Icelandic is their first language.
Wearing a motorcycle helmet over in Iceland is mandatory, so if you are planning on a trip to Iceland, you better bring over your helmet.
On my trip, I averaged about 250 km a day. Eight days is enough to get you around the Ring Road. If I were to do again, I would have planned for 10 days and done a little bit more exploring of the interior of the island.
WoW, this is wonderful! Though all the photos are absolutely great, I especially like the Looking for Vikings segment... Great help for the tour I am planning!
I just came back from an amazing 5 days trip to iceland. What a beautiful land. Had amazing weather, totally unusual for november month. I'm already planning a summer trip to Iceland with my family. Looking forward to see other sites. And yeah, there's no better soundtrack for Iceland than Sigur Ros. Will never forget my trip to Thingvellir listening to their last album. Magical experience! Congratulations man!
at 2:16 of my video, is a memorial celibrating the achievements of some long dead Icelandic figure. The stone carving is found along the side of Hwy #1 - Ring Road, west of Hofn. There was a plague nearby the rock sculpture, I do not recall if it expalined the meaning of the strange glyph symbol on the front of the rock. Looks like something out of Lord of the Rings
Amazing!! I also did a trip around Iceland like this one except I went the other way around. It is such a special place.

I loved your video! And the music really fits it - what is the name of the first song?
lbocvarov89 1 year ago
@lbocvarov89
The first song is called Hljomalind by Sigur Ros
The melodic and ethereal sound of Sigur Ros matches the raw and surreal landscapes of Iceland

What language do you speak? Is English spoken in most parts, or would it be easy to communicate.
What are the laws regarding wearing helmets? How many kilometers did you do on the route around the island?
