@Runaholism if a defender goes to the goal and cover potential freekickgoals, it would mean that the offiside play isn't in motion. And basically the the opponents could stand near the goal and be onside. That's why nobody does it in real soccer matches, because it is stupid. Except in the games such as Fifa, because you can't control the other players to go forward, except if you haven't done a set piece, which also is limited.

sorry to burst you buble but the defnder on the line willonlie stop free kicks that the keeper would normally save, hew wont be able to stop the ones that would normally go in.
