How do you add your own at home security cams?

@MomoHitsu The app contains an "Add Camera" button which then lets you choose from pre-designed profiles that support hundreds of makes/models. The camera data you add is private and it is only stored on your iPhone/iPod/iPad. No one else (including me) can see your video.

If you want to make a camera public you will need to send us connection details so we can add it to the master database.

I have a copy of this app for the iPod touch! Great app! I am able to load my home server onto the list of webcams available and I can keep an eye on things while I'm away so long as there is a wifi connection wherever I'm at! Good stuff!

what is the framerate like with this app.. I have a similar one and it's only like 2 fps. this video shows like atleast 20 in the second location.

@VegaOmega23 The framerate is dependent on the camera you connect to. Some are on high-speed uplinks and some are not. The app shows video as fast as it comes in, but the cameras that you are connecting to are usually low-quality CPUs. The more people watching the camera at once, the slower the camera gets (not the app, it just looks slower).

No free version will ever exist. The more users viewing the cameras the slower they get (or they might even shut down). If I give out a free version then it will kill the results for everyone.

@begerter Likewise you'll see the same problem as all of my competitors steal my camera database and make similar apps. We'll all slowly fail, although I don't think any of them seem to care

Garry, put back the lite version of the app if you want more sales on the full version. Just so they know what the app is about and can persuade them to get it because the app is nice. Thanks :)

I have this on my iPod touch and I found a couple making out and going at it in a car in Alabama. My boyfriend and I were laughing hysterically! I love this app. Yeah it only works when you have a wifi connection but totally worth it. It's so fun.

Its useless.... No where does it say you need to be wi-fi ONLY...... If you have internet service you need to be next to a wi-fi to use this app

why do you need wifi? the app pulls video on both 3g and wifi (but obviously slower on 3g)

The first thing it does when you try to view a live cam on an new IPhone 3GS it pops up only snap shots allowed you can only view live cam by using a WiFi point.

That's the 3.02 release (you need to update). It still loads video but uses a different method so I just created the message box to let people know. They hated the message so I removed it in 3.03

The app works on both 3G and Wifi. Apple rejects any application which consumes more than 1MB/min on 3G and that's why I pull frames slower. They rejected me for over two months when I first created it because it was running "too fast".

I am in USA and I have unlimited internet access via AT&T cell service

All updates are free forever once purchased. There have been over 20 updates already and the app is under constant development. It's not $400, those are from companies that want to rip people off and I'm trying to sell by volume, not markup.

Greetings..If/when approved by Apple, will updated version and new features & cams be free and automatic via app store? Or is this something that will be automatic via your server?...I'm really enjoying this app, and would love search function and new cams. :)
