@makeupbyjanet We went two years ago, so chances are good that the El Cid costs more now... And we paid for airfare and hotel all in one. It's among the most expensive trip we've ever done (as a standalone travel) and I think with airfare, the 10 days at El Cid cost close to $3,000 for the two of us. it may have been less, but that's the number I remember at this point. But take a look at their website. They used to run a lot of promotions for the hotel. Maybe still do.

My parents loved it so much there that they're headed back in November of this year as well. We're currently in Panama so won't be joining them this time (unless El Cid calls or emails us, and in exchange for this video, to thank us, offers to let us come there for free - that would be awesome).

omg i just got backk from here a few days ago! it was the best vacation i ever had! i could truly relax! there was nothing you had to do except eat sleep sunbathe and drink along with the tonz of activities they had there hosted by tony adoni jaun and karen ofcourse! omg i miss them so much! theyre all so nice and treat you very well. but the mosquito thing is verrry true! lol i had to go back to the room and put long pants on! i definately recomend this resort tho! i hope to go back very soon!

thank you so much for this video, i love it, i work at this hotel, i´m one of the concierge there, and i recomended to everyone not because i work here but because is one of the best resorts in cancun and because is perfect for kids and adults.

I had the best time of my life there

would go back in a heartbeat not one thing was disappoionting, the service was excellent, and the people were all so nice. I loved the entertainment crew, they became really good friends with my family, if your going say hi to tony, silvia, juan, andoni, ricardo, and jorje. There was entertianment everynight like dances and magic shows and the discos on the beach were always fun. Lots to do and awesome food and drinks. I love the El Cid they made my vacation

took kayaks everyday they were awesome. became friends with the main spanish dude that was in control of the catamarine however u spell it.

el cid was pretty good but pretty small. i liked the small beach and food the best. also nice good clean rooms. hope u went to xcaret it was nice there.

Hey! Thanks for commenting on the video. Hope you really enjoy your time there at the El Cid. One thing we didn't explain too clearly in the video... take your own snorkel equipment, get one of their kayaks for the day, and take it out to where the water breaks at the coral. The fish and sea life out there are awesome!

have you guys ever been to the "crown paradise club" in cancun, i have it's really great.i would definataly recommend it to all.

We didn't really leavethe resort, because for this trip, there was no reason to... other than the day we spent in Puerto Morales... But maybe when we're in Cancun again we'll hit that club. THanks for the recommendation.

Thank-you! We loved our time there at the El Cid!  Hopefully next time we'll get to see more of Mexico that isn't a vacation hotel all-inclusive, but rather an authentic experience of Mexico.
