  • Immortal Talat Sahab.

  • @mushmax

    Welcome. Thanks.

  • For me, listening to sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness. A sweet emotional masterpiece out of the golden voice chord of Talat with excellent musical support from the legends.

  • @tkyaheya

Absolutely right. I too like sad songs. Thanks for rich appreciation and encouraging comments.

  • Vdave31 is right.. on the understanding that in film songs music directors generally allow themselves some liberties with the raags they use...

  • Looks Like Rag Kedar...!!

  • @TitanYa315

It leads one to Heaven - true. Thanks.

  • Hello Sir. Excellent composition by the King of Ghazals, Madan Mohan. A very difficult compositon, I might add. It took Madan over a month to get it right. All songs of Ashiana were hits and Raj Kapoor really thought about switching from Shankar Jaikishan to Madan as his permanent Music Director for RK banner. But it didn't work out and he remained with SJ. Raj and Madan were childhood friends.

Notice, in early 1950's all heroes of that time flocked towards Talat as playbacking for him.

  • @RealMusicKing

Thanks for appreciation and lot of information on Madan Mohan and Talat. I know that Raj Kapoor and Madan Mohan friendship. Sad to find that Madan Mohan did not get deserved recognition. I have always adored the songs of Ashiana.

I am immensely pleased with your information- from where did you get all these?
