wow people you do know that sometimes people mess up sometimes they shift late sometimes they shift early and sometimes they shift perfect depending on when you shift you car will go faster or slower. its not fake the s14 guy just didnt get good shifts and the integra type r guy did. when two cars have about the same power it comes to the driver and also luck s14 was unlucky get over it.
It all depends whos driving but Type R is lighter and short geared even on a track it would keep up to it no problem.Dont forget S14 is boosted 2L give it to the ITR its 1.8 N.A boost that shit my man and bye bye to S14
people need to realise the sr20det has very relaxed cams for fuel economy and driveability, drop in some tomei cams and it becomes alot quicker up top, and clearly there is a weight advantage here for the dc2.
Cant prove this as fact as I read it on the sxoc website but the Nissan 200SX doesnt hit full boost pressure till its in third gear. Probably to stop/reduce fish tailing at the lights. Maybe a rolling start would be a different story?

u are forgetting about the awd turboed celicas and chaser even doe we never got the chaser but ff car wise they make good track cars and touge but they cant take too much power 300 is the max iv hurd well for honda engines na witch aint bad but new car wise there are a few but not like the 90s i miss the 90s so so bad best of everything back then
I always despised the S14 for not being quick enough in a straight line and on the track, but i actually have an S14a now and i wanted a rwd sports car and i have to say they are not meant to be driven stock. The SR20DET and the Silvia platform itself has so much potential. Mine puts down 250+hp at the wheels now and with quite a few suspension mods has made it much more fun. The Type R is a very finely tuned piece of kit, and i would love one in my garage too.
Stock S14 Silvias are slow and S14 and S14a is the same shit with same turbo and same boost, does high 14s 1/4mile.. Jap spec S15 is quicker though, does low 14s. The DC2R is quicker in this vid because of a few reasons. 1) Its MUCH lighter than the S14. DC2R (1080kg), S14 (1250kg) so power:weight ratio is in favour of the Type R. Reason 2) Gear ratio is shorter in the Type R giving it better acceleration.
yes it was the turbo model(220ps) vtec hondas just have a powerful 3rd gear where as sr's are all first and second(reason he was walked...well and the integra is just a tab bit lighter
i have a silvia turbo, and i know that the ITR is faster,its nearly a competition car...and the silvia is a fast sport car, thats the diference... and its nicer the silvia :)

You can search at the best motoring 0-400m test, in the silvia vs celica gtfour, the silvia makes 14,6 and in this one, it made 14,9 and the ITR 14,7
