Nice room! Those buds look well caked in resin. I bet your friend would have had alot less lockout and stretch issues with bigger pots, though. I give mad props for buds like that in those size pots. In small pots plants those size will take up all the nutes quickly and leave salts the majority of time in between waterings. Larger pots the nutrients sort of mingle and do not get converted to salts as quickly. Trust me, been there myself! Not trying to be mr expert, just trying to help you :)

i use fox farm ocean forest soil and earth juice grow, bloom, and catalyst. fully organic ensures extremely few if no problems. i haven't experienced any so far with a variety of strains =)
You also shouldn't have different aged plants in your room, unless you are keeping the same temp humidity and CO2 PPM the same throughout the bloom stage. in that case you are just crippling your buds, they could do way better if you customize the environment. The temp humidity and CO2 levels should change throughout your boom cycle.
you would have had so much more buds if they were in 5 gal buckets, your nute issue might also be a root bind issue. but i also had a problem with General Hydroponic's nute line and when i switched to fox farm plus some of my own secrete formula my plants were beautiful. check them out on my channel!
In my opinion those plats don't look very healthy. The bud looks very good, but maybe if u split up the 5000 watts between 600 watt lights I think U will yield alot more and have more even height plants. I think 5 1000s is to intense on the bad side.

He has different plants at different heights, yet all the lights are at the same height. The distance should be a lot less for the smaller plants because light loses intensity over distance ,FACT. That is a waste of watts and lumens. You can argue if you want but you're going to be fighting from a weak position.

Nice strains. Do you grow from seed or clone? I try to grow from seed as much as possible because I find the plants are much stronger and able to resist pest and disease more. I have a 2000 watt grow room, dehumidifier and I also pump the hot exhaust air into the ventilation system to warm the house in the winter after I filter it with charcoal filter. I too am growing chem dawg, OG, and Chem and while I love the potency of the those strains the yield is nowhere near wild Afghan or sativas.

Dude if you really have trainwreck take my advice... Keep those T5s like two inches away from the vegged plants till they are 12 inches tall, then flower them. Use House and Garden root excelurator on the veg and you'll have 15-20 nodes before they reach 12 inches. You are flowering waaaaaayyyy too tall man. You think you'll get more weight but I guarantee your leaving so much money on the table. Your colas are breaking off those weak stems cause your not starting off properly.

@gotit121 Actually the plants double in size when flowered and with that many plants in there it would be very hard to raise the lights after the stretch that all plants go through during flowering.. having the lights any lower would have been a bad idea unless you want to squish plants trying to raise the lights later, or you would get burnt plants from having them too close....
@gotit121 Seeing how those are 1,000 watt lights I think that the distance they are at is ideal and those are most likely sativa plants, they are not stretched because they have many sets of nodes and the nodal spacing is good.

All that stretching probably induced by those HID HPS lights, should use metal halide for vegging sativa mixes otherwise they can get super tall, as in your case.

@gotit121 Actually the plants double in size when flowered and with that many plants in there it would be very hard to raise the lights after the stretch that all plants go through during flowering.. having the lights any lower would have been a bad idea unless you want to squish plants trying to raise the lights later, or you would get burnt plants from having them too close....

@gotit121 Seeing how those are 1,000 watt lights I think that the distance they are at is ideal and those are most likely sativa plants, they are not stretched because they have many sets of nodes and the nodal spacing is good.

Day/night temps should be kept pretty close and light distance will stop them stretching
also i like to keep them under the metal halide for the first trwo weeks of 12/12
They look kinda N fdeficient (all that hanging and not supporting their own buds) give some baby bio or sort out your P.h or something

All that stretching probably induced by those HID HPS lights, should use metal halide for vegging sativa mixes otherwise they can get super tall, as in your case.

Wowie Wow Wow wooowie do . Im stoked to the max on this kinda straight up 2019 reporting! I grew my own till 2011, from then I bought from my attorney who was 36 and 20 years my junior when we started. When I won the lottery, I had my home built with a 11600 sq foot pistol range on one side and the other side being a futurama of Lazyboy Koosh state of the art grow factory. Spectacular and Whoa Betty!

any good grower can grow with anything he/she has available to them..if he kept getting salt build up that is because he was not feeding his plant correctly..weather it was over watering,poor metabolism and root structure.or too high of ppm.etc..

nice video but way to much wattage. the price of fruit keeps dropping so lower your costs. I took out 3 -1000 watt hps and put in 4 - 400 watt inda-gro pro series inductions.
it's not really about watts but more about PAR in the photomorphogenesis period of flower/bud. you need a quantum meter to measure light at the plant. LED lamps claim to do this but they have yield problems because of narrow bandwidth You can get HPS yields without spending so much on wattage & cooling HPS rooms.

If you have a full line of canna nutrients and they are working for you then by all means carry on but if you have advanced nutrients and you switch OVER to canna well.
thats kinda like having a Lexus and trading it in for a Pickup truck lol....
Canna nutrients is an ok nutrient company but no one can beat AN when done properly
period.
and im willing to defend that ^.~

@HinduxSkunk thank you . yea got the full range of canna terra nutes (terra vegga/floras, zyme, tonic, boost and the pk 13/14 and running out fast lol.
canna tends to stunt the growth of my plants IMHO. dont really know why when using a peat based medium?? its working ok ATM though! nice sugary buds too.

both side effects of nutrients >_<
if you use advanced nutrients half strength you will have amazing results every time :D
or you could even go as low as 1/4th strength and boost it up in mid flowering
AN is very concentrated shit.
I gave full strength and my girls got a bit locked up this stuff is stronggggg
but even tho i over nuted the buds are still frosted and dense :D

@58008518 Oh and regards to the medium i would recommend Sunshine Mix #4 or Bcuzz Hydromix HP if your not in hydroponics
soilless soil is amazing gives greats results and pretty quick growth.
if your working with hydroponics i would recommend coco =o
it tends to hold on to i believe Mag? or Cal not sure but in either case i would research into coco its really good schtuff from what ive seen in grow journals =o
