@570875 That's not true. One can get 104Mbps at home with 4G. It depends on how close you are to the base station and if the frequency and environment is playing to your advantage. The base station itself is Category 4 (150Mbps) while the modems are Category 3 (100Mbps), so capacity is not an issue.
This video was published a year ago. This was the first commercial network in the world. The network has been upgraded with further capacity, so today you can get up to 80Mbps and more if you're lucky. The speeds you're talking about belong to LTE Advanced, which is commercially available in 2015. Please read up on LTE, and you'll find it all there. Cheers
Im a little bit dissapointed about the speed reached. I thoght that LTE could reach download speeds around 1Gbit/s if we dont move, and around 100Mbps moving at 200km/h...why did you only reach 20Mbps?
@dovado your taxes are barely any higher than the uk though, if any higher at all. And your winters are amazing, i was there in april (2010) and there was still snow on the ground =P
@ZiemerZ We have an approx. basic tax burden of 45-50% of normal work - with VAT/Customs/Environment/Fat-charges(ect. ect.) ..on the following food and consumer goods we buy(especially on imported goods), we're almost up to a tax burden on total: 70%
@abelbendel It's still lower than in Denmark.. Our cars has an approximately 120% Tax. So a car with a basic value of 10.000 will in Denmark cost at least 22.000
Wow. Our Verizon CDMA 3G network here work's on 850mhz band and our LTE deployed by Verizon is on 700mhz, carrier's here are miserably failing with the 2.6ghz band like Sprint with WiMax. I wish I lived in Sweden :)
We only get 5-12mbps on LTE with a 5GB cap for $50 USD
Haha your 3G network's running HSPA+ are faster than our 4G :).

what ppl dont get is yeah is decent (not real fast) But u can do HD but for how much time, for 10GB is 80????? u can run out f that in a week doing just youtube, imagine doing HD Video conference??? in 2 days ur 10Gb are gone now what? ur gonna oay 10 for each additional day??? see it could be 100 mbps but with their capping is trash, worhtless. useless and etc etc. VERIZION WAS, IS AND WILL BE SHIT.
somebody help me out so 4g is like 10x faster than 3g so say my connection speed im getting is 3mbs per second how much higher could it possibly be ???
I'm in Sweden, so I pinged a Swedish IP address. Didn't bother pinging the first hop, but you can do that by just applying a traceroute and pinging the first responding IP address. For bandwidth measurement, I used a known website which was shown on the video; called Bredbandskollen. All test servers are in Sweden as well.
Hi there can u plz tell me how much GB bite do u get in a month and for how long u have 2 make contract with Telia ,,, I ll appreciate your response THanks..
and plz i wanted to know this also which broadband (fix line) internet is better for a home in Sweden ,,, not 100mbt... coz there is no cables in our street yet ...
@dhunni001 Well, if you're using Telia, then it's 30GB/month and I believe the contract is18 months. Then you have Tele2 and Telenor as well, who have launched 4G. They offer unlimited data plans. I have managed to top almost 90Mbps on Telia and Tele2. Haven't tried Telenor, but will soon.
@fzhindon Thanks for the video. I just learned that LTE as it is now, is 3.9G not 4G, because 3GPP R8 standard points speed not less that 1Gb in 4G, which implies 4x4 MIMO and actual eNb only suports 2x2MIMO (Ericsson, NSN so far, don`t know the Chinese crap)
Speed test of about 18mbps are already achievable in the same channel size with Mobile Wimax Wave 2. Latency is higher though (40-50ms vs 10-20ms), but that's expected.
It's neck and neck. Difference is that WiMAX is here :-)
Hi, does anyone know the commercial WiMax network data rate in US? I found someone in the youtube got 6Mbps DL. However, I think it was a bit old video (June 2009). Any improvement since then?
Lol. That's as fast as cable broadband ISP here in the United States... That is until FIOS came into my area, now I get 35/35. Biggest thing I like about 4G LTE over 3G is not that its faster (even though it is), but the fact that the ping is much lower so its actually able to act like real broadband...
Lets hope the LTE network will be deployed by the end of the year here in Australia. Apparently on of the carriers are testing it and said it should be ready by next year
so is that for the full release or just the trials. If so guess i am moving to Telstra (and there LTE will be fast because they have the world's fastest 3G network. its in the guiness book of records )
Don't make any presumptions regarding 4G. Try to find out first which frequencies it'll run on in Australia, and hope it'll be on the lower bands (in the hundreds of MHz).
Well we are in the process of shuting down the analogue signal for tv and that uses the 700mhz. And they are auctioning off the spectrum to companies. The telstra next g runs on the 850mhz. It wouldnt surprise me if they use the 700mhz frequency
I believe the yanks are doing the same. That'll be great if any of the operators in OZ roll out on 700, for sure. We are still stuck with 2.6GHz here in Sweden, but will be dual-band once a couple more operators besides Telia launch their networks in the fall, or at least 2nd half of the year.
Just read on Cellular News that Telstra will begin its internal LTE tests in May, and will last 3-6 months, evaluating Ericsson, Huawei and Nokia Siemens Networks.

Thank you Dovado for sharing your findings. And herewith I ask kindly two questions :
- To determine the latency towards another node do you know how to retrieve the IP address of the PDN?
- Which SW did you use to analyze the throughput, is that the one that comes with the LTE dongle?
I will appreciate your response, BR, Fabian.
