If some people actually put as much effort into their practice as they do commenting on what they think these people are capable of... then perhaps they would be at mastery level themselves
Taiji, higher levels are able to control others wihtout any joint lock mixed in it. Like Master Mar Yeu-Liang. He never uses Joint lock but get opponents in great control and sent them out. That is what I am expecting.
If you are expecting Ma Yue Liang, you should watch his videos. This is not Ma Yue Liang, and while Ma was good, he did not practice Chen Taijiquan, and did not have Chen Taijiquan gongfu. If you are expecting a hawk, but you see a lion, perhaps you think the lion is not proper to have teeth instead of a beak. The problem, is your expectations, not the teeth. Good luck.
Preach on taijimessenger! before your comments I hadn't realized that I wanted all taiji masters to do things in exactly the same way, but now I realize I was wrong! Perhaps if you spoke Chinese you would understand some of what the teacher is trying to show. No matter, its probably not important anyway, not "proper" or something like that, right?
I've heard that the different Taiji family styles have developed their own methods of generating jing, as well as their own interpretations on how to apply the techniques on different levels. I understand what ur saying though, as I've seen Yang, Wu and Zhao-bao styles on the high levels possess the same kind of control, without using non-Qinna. Chen style however, has always been martial oriented so perhaps that's why they do lots of Qinna even on the high levels.
If you do not have any skill yourself, you likely do know what gongfu looks like at all. In this case, this is a relaxed demonstration of some basic methods. You are apparently looking for something that visually represents an idea you have of what it should look like instead of a personal understanding of Taijiquan gongfu. Good luck.
Apparently either you do not get what I was asking or I did not presnet my question clearly. I thought in a higher level of taiji practioners, the taiji vacabulary is very clear by the term of Taiji Kong Fu. Maybe I should say Taiji Jing.
Most of masters are using Joint lock to show Taiji Jing. This is not the proper presentation. Once Chin-Na is used, Pong-Lu-Ji-Ann Taiji Jing, even is very bad, still can control opponents like Sho-ling kongfu.
Clearly, you know very little about Chen Taijiquan. You must drop your preconceived ideas about what is proper about a style of gongfu you know nothing about if you actually hope to learn anything about it. Good luck.
well there's some of the dumbest comments I've seen on youtube & thats saying something!!! :) Thanks for the clip, as always great stuff from CY
