No, James, you lost it when they got new animators and voice actors in. I miss the old shows. Plus they had the best and smartest "good guy" character in it. I really miss Misty. May and especially Dawn can't compete with her. She's the only good character that never got on my nerves, apart from May - sometimes.

At least they're trying to imitate the voices instead of Ash's like, reverse puberty. One season its deep, next its not, next its deep again, next its just scratchy. I do miss the old voices, but it can't be helped. Ash's is the worst out of them though.

@PropellerYoshi1808 I noticed that, I like best wishes, and it's like they reset everything. I see alot of similarities to the original in the way they're executing it. Probably due to Ash being a noob again and Trip is very much like Gary personality-wise. And a bunch of other small details.

@Reyrocksall Yeah, one at the beginning of the Battle Frontier (the background music changed at the beginning of Hoenn but the motto stayed the same), again at the beginning of DP, and again at the beginning of Best Wishes (Black and White).

@JamieBugajski You'll notice that sometime around Master Quest the faithfulness to the Japanese version started falling, this was when Zoppi started "adapting" scripts. The TRio almost never used alliterations until around Master Quest. If Zoppi never adapted scripts, the TRio might have been watchable in dubbed DP.

@JamieBugajski No, he doesn't do translations; he does INTERPRETATIONS. He's the reason the TRio was dubbed so pathetically in D/P. I recently found out that in the Japanese version, they were basically the same as Kanto-Hoenn. It's ironic that one of the worst 4Kids voices (Gary's) was kept during the 4Kids-TPCi switch. His James got *slightly* better in Best Wishes, but his Meowth is downright horrible.

I know that the 4Kids actors had to stay behind due to contracts, that doesn't mean I can't dislike Zoppi. I am not bashing TPCi, only Zoppi. And your comment about the show sucking is invalid; since Gary Oak was only in a handful of episodes, and he did not start script adaptations until Master Quest, aka Season 5.
