  • Isn't this the game where topalov sacs Nf7? He sure destroyed Kramnik that game -.-

  • whats the name of the music ?

  • You are a douche period. Youre Topalovs left testicle you pathetic shit.

  • Kramnik is a douche period

  • I agree that good sportsment should shake hands, but the rules should concern themselves with the operations within the chess board and nothing more.

It's typical of todays political correctness that people should advocate the rules proscribing how individual players behave. People are free to make their own choices and if one chooses to insult another - that is a matter for his conscience.

  • Anand at the end: la la la la la la oh hey look topalov and kramnik.. well what do ya know

  • epic

  • greatest game of all time n xf7 brilliant for topalov 1:52

  • I liked 1:50!

You can see Anand, Topalov and Kramnik at the same time! ...

I wish all of my heroes could make a group photo so that I wouldn't have to routinely change my pc background... :P

  • lol, at 3:25

  • SORRY! There's no 3:25, I meant to say 0:25. What a blunder!

  • it's so transparent that a handshake was being avoided. kramnik comes to the table with a cup of coffee on his right hand.

  • @chessbuff

    hahah thats right

kramnik thinks topalov doesnt wash his hands after his touches his beastly ugly self'''

  • seems strange. most of the top GMs do have a first name that starts with V.. example.. Veselin (Topalov) Vladimir (Kramnik) Viswanathan (Anand) Vassily (Ivanchuk) Vugar (Gashimov) Vachier-Lagrave (Maxime) Vladimir (Akopian) Vallejo (Francisco) Viktor (Bologan) Van Wely (Loek) Volokitin (Andrei)
  • Van Wely's first name is Loek, not Van

  • It's even stranger, that the world chess champions - Fischer, Karpov, Kasparov, Anand etc. - all of them have (or had) buttocks!

  • @redjimenez Vachier-Lagrave is not a first name ;-) But yes it's strange I didn't notice !

  • @redjimenez LOL! You are kidding, right?

  • @redjimenez Viswanathan Anand's first name is Anand. Viswanathan is his father's first name. In south India, where he comes from, patronymic names are common.

  • @redjimenez Vachier-Lagrave, Vallejo and van Wely are surnames, but I take your point with the others.

  • @redjimenez you forgot Korchy

  • @redjimenez Sorry, I´m spanish and "Vallejo" is the surname and "Francisco" the first name.

  • who won the match?

  • This refusal to shake business is just pathetic. Shaking the hands before the game is a long tradition of sportsmanship and class, even if you don't respect each other respect the game and shake hands.

  • @2TheDeath I don't see why you have to consider "class" as a real value generally in sports, better is not to pretend what you don't feel and being a hypocrite, by the way, sportmanship is not about shaking hands, but about not to cheat or set horrible lies upon your opponents.

  • @2TheDeath this is stupid they dont want to shake hands and they dont there is no such law or respect they are not obliged to shake but to play chess :) if the person is unpleasant i wont shake hand too

  • Haha brilliant music choice

  • Xaxa look how Anand stalks at the end...

  • i like to see a Chessboxing match between these two

  • Da mystery of Chessboxin' =]

  • Nxf7 is probably losing, although after Topalov played it I wouldn't be suprised if many people disagreed with me. The funny thing is that Kramnik's plan throughout the whole game seemed very logical, maybe without Qxd4 which allowed Rbd1 (I think, this is going from memory) but the whole ...b4 ...c3 thing seemed like the best idea and he still lost.

  • "

the finish is more interesting topalov smashed kramnik"

The finish of the tournament is even more interesting. Kramnik finished ahead of Topalov. Aronian won the whole thing.

And why would anyone shake Topa's hand? He is a snidy bastard who resorted to cheap tactics to unsettle his opponent. Accusing Kramnik of cheating which was totally unfounded. A-grade twat.

  • You dont know if the Kramnik accusation is founded or not,but thats not the question, the question is that when Topalov was accused of cheating by Morozevich and Khazimdzhanov ,during the world champion in San Luis (Argentina) Nobody backed him...The russian lobby is very powerful my friend.

  • You can easily discern that the two were doing their best not to have a chance to shake hands. Kramnik played the slave as he often does.

  • Topalov will become world champion!

  • And he did my friend, he did

  • anand did

  • can someone please attend to chucksters wardrobe. that sweater is hideous.

  • Jan Timman used this experience to try exactly the same attack against Ljubomir Ljubojevic the very next day, but the Serbian smashed his hopes and proabbly turned Topalov's improvement wrong!

  • the finish is more interesting topalov smashed kramnik

  • true....with a novelty that was not of his own but cheparinov´s.

also, kramnik outplayed topalov on the amber rapid tournament later in the year.

both of them are great players it is a shame the can´t get along

  • I wonder what's going to happen if Kramnik beat Anand and topalov beat Kamsky!!

  • was topalov playing the kings gambit?

  • queens gambit

  • Topalov is the best chess player in the world at this moment,a lot of you know it but dont want to say it!

  • Don't it make you feel so proad to be a chessplayer.

  • the music is a joke

  • yeah, what is it - a love story?

  • Very nice to see Anand looking at the board...lol.

  • I guess they don't like each other too much eh? Maybe Anand should give these two a lesson in sportsmanship.

  • naw you're a loser right off the back for saying that...Topalov is one of the BEST in the world

  • Bulgarian chess players are some of the most ungentle men chess players in the world. One Bulgarian chess master, I can't pronounce his name, refuses to shake Nigel Short hands too.

  • I can say his name.

He's Ivan Cheparinov. You are right to say that they're ungentle. I'm not very proud to be bulgarian because of their behaviour.

  • if you are not proud to be bulgarian than u shooldnt be bulgarian

nqma6 li pone malko gordost we pi4..

  • topa had his revenge!maybe the game of the year(well so far...:P),smashing victory.

for all those who are questening themselv why the 2 didnt shake hands....i have a question:

would u(as topalov) shake hands to a guy who hardly cheated to steal the world title(topa's world title)?:)

  • What? They didn't shake hands?

  • after the sacrifice black are helpless they can't move anything their position is doomed they don't have useful move it was a trap by our bulgarian player

  • kramnik is stupid loser and cheater topalov is the best he smashed him

  • Love it how topa pretends to be interested in his completed scoresheet.

  • It's just sad to see how cold their attitudes are towards each other. That's the top level for you.

  • I think actually Black is better after the sacrifice,,,Kramnik just reacted badly.

  • Great music! Suits the situation very well!

  • how long did it take them to finsh the game?

  • went with the slav defense pretty interesting

  • Hey GM Jan Timman! why you keep on looking on Topalov Kramnik board...mind your own business....heheheh LOL...!

  • All of u guys are a bunch of nerds

  • This is sad ; (. I like both Topalov and Kramnik.

  • topalov tore kramniks ass apart in this game what an embarassement!....

  • ha ha - funny choice of music! no, this is not a romance.

  • funny (not the game, cause I'm a very kramnik's fan)...

timman on the background... he's paying attention more in kramnik's game than yours :D

congrats to who made the movie

  • After 12.Nxf7, Kramnik wanted to go to the toilet!

  • Kramnik doesn't cheat!

  • Very nice collage of a video (handshake fragments, music)...

und Timman popelt in Hintergrund :D

  • This is just the begining of many victories for Topalov. Soon he will get the crown back and Kramnik will probably stop playing chess. Go Vesko!

  • Video is a nice, but Vesko is the best. Great Bulgarian just smashing WC-boy Kramnik:) Muhahahahahahaha

  • WoW Topalov won i'm proud, btw look how Vishy observes them :)

  • haha everyone handshakes only Topalov and Kramnik doesn't.

  • ...and baby cheparinov

  • what song is playing??

    btw... *very* nice game!

  • The music is from Tchaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet".

  • awesome win no doubt ,but still kramnik playing black so its normal for him to lose such game.

  • you must be kidding...kramnik hardly ever loses a classical time control game, i think three in the past two years, this being the fourth

  • i heard he didnt win a single black game last year though (:

    all drawn/lost.

  • I think we're going to see a lot more people playing Nxf7 from now on.

  • imo 12.Nxf7 in this line has to be close to being sound - black had drawing chances but it was like walking a minefield for kramnik. I guess time will tell with more games testing this out

  • Beautiful :)

  • Kramnik falso.

  • Please, did they capture the moment Topalov played 12.Nxf7!?

I would love to see Kramnik's expression, and also at the end of the game when Kramnik resigned...

  • did they shake hands??

  • No, they are still not on good terms, which I find disappointing.

    Congratulations to Topa! Excellent win!

  • TOPA. YOU. ARE. INCREDIBLE.

  • Huge victory for Topa!

  • For chessplayers, fantastic
