@smotnahp A few years ago, that 'current' LRB act were in talks to perform in my hometown - the result was that I wrote a letter to the local newspaper which was published to state that the lineup was not the singers and songwriters of the hits LRB had in the 1970s (referring to Birtles Shorrock Goble not being current members and Hounsden owning the name). That lineup did not come to town, but a few years later we had a real LRB performer come - and do a great show - one Mr Glenn Shorrock...
Once again, the legend that is Graeham Goble has pulled off another hit record! I love watching old clips of classic LRB, but, in the making of this particular video, are my eyes deceiving me, or, did I see ol' Beeb Birtles make a cameo appearance? Does anyone know where I can find a copy of this song? Also, true LRB and John Farnham fans might want to check out Little River Band- D from their 1983 HBO concert in Melbourne, Australia on your search engine! It's really a great song!
it is on graeham's latest record called "the days ahead". shorrock sings on this song. i read somewhere that the trio is actually recording new material.
Hey, 'dutchmanaflyin', I echo your comments! I couldn't have said it better, myself! I have listened to the words of this song over and over and Graham makes such a great statement in the song! I hate it that Wayne and Stephen have done this to Graham, Beeb, and Glenn! Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
A Brilliant Video, Song and Lyrics! Thanks Graham, for pulling together the founding members of the Little River Band" No body can duplicate the sound (DNA) of Glenn Shorrock, Beeb Birtles and Graham Goble!
Its too bad that Mr. Stephen Housden's little greedy grubby stubbies were able to convince the corrupt liberal courts to give him the ownership of the band name! Ripping the TradeMark "Little River Band" away from the founding members. For the VisuallyChallenged listener I could understand your sympathetic point of view when you don't understand the big picture!
What a clever YES clever song, this has to be an anthem to all muso's who have been there. This has to come into the category of a song I wished i had writen.
From an old Bulla/Ram Jam boy.
PS Who the hell could include DNA into a lyric? Only these boys.
I realise that taking the name of the group from the original members and songwriters isn't an easy situation to deal with. But both Wayne Nelson and Stephen Housden were long term (if not original members) of the group LRB. I cannot believe that they are singing now LRB songs that are copyrighted without paying royalties for performance or recording to the original composers.
This shows the tragedy that courts have let bands like the Beach Boys and Little River Band become. The person who wrote the songs should have say in if they get performed!
6 people have taken Little River Bands history.

Sad but nevertheless beautiful song. With songs like this they should simply call themselves "Big River Band" and wash (flush) away the past...
And hey, very, very well done video!!

Great song. My other favorite is the one that Grahame wrote with Stephen Housden, "Love is a Bridge". Check it on youtube.

@lrbfan82 Birtles making an appearance here would not be surprising - Shorrock appeared on backing vocals of this...
