I'm able to run my electric weed eater.... I checked the power consumption and it uses about 380 watts, but I would not recommend this inverter to anyone... It's like you said drills run at half speed and lots of other power tools under 600 watts won't start up.
i have the same inverter and i cant get it to power my drill over half speed with no load. whats the most powerful thing you have run with your inverter? i want to know if its just my inverter or the drill. but then again it wont run a small tv thats rated at 75watts and a xbox 360 for more than 5 mins, then something blew inside and i had to return it.
