I was there the day he did this performance. Gotta realize he was 15 years old and the director pointed at him and said GO! He actually played and sang this song after this as the entertainment at the Coach N Four Steakhouse Crestview, on Fridays and Saturdays and became very good. It is nice that youngsters like him appreciate the best musical era of our time! 70's and 80's. Now he is a Freshman at Yale University.
idk about you guys but he's not that good. sure, he's got the notes, and i'm sure he's heard the song enough, but he has no life in the music he is playing, he just follows what the sheet music says, probably, despite the fact he has it memorized. a lot of the notes are off, or squared, including the grace notes.
This is Jordan. I did this about 3 years ago when I was 15. Cut me a little slack ;-) Not all of it was music-read; the first guitar solo done after the first verse was learned by ear, as well as the ending of the song. I also only had one take to do this, so I had to live with a few mistakes that I made. Believe me, I can hear them, and the tempo was a little faster than it should have been... At least I didn't mess up :P
No, since we live in Crestview and he's in high school he plays at the Coach N Four on John King Road. He is taking off for the summer and recording a Christmas Album to be released the last of November. He is supposed to play 4th of July at the fireworks in Crestview and at the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival in Niceville in October. December 18th he will be doing a Christmas Concert at the Crestview Community Center in Crestview. Tickets for that will go on Sale around Thanksgiving.
Great version of Mr Blue....im working on it at the moment.... not as good as jordan though... when i crack it maybe ill send it to you... well done though in the studio and everything... I have a mate in Dublin does the recording in his apartment!.. free... (I bring the beer of course!)
Is he jewish? ... and yes very good piano skills there, however he should do evil woman by electric light orchestra as it is a much better song ... 5 stars to you anyway I suppose
No he's not Jewish. He was 15 last Aug 07 when this was recorded. People don't realize how nerveracking it can be to be in a studio like that and have someone point to you and say, "1, 2, 3, go" I'll ask him about Evil Woman!
Presently he is working on two new original songs for the Relay for Life (a cancer awareness fundraiser) Thanks for the 5 stars.
Ahh tis no problem for the 5 stars my friend ! I did quite enjoy this and thanks for asking him about evil woman I would be much obliged if he were to try that
Great playing Jordon/Jordan.

I didnt think he sounded bad just a little rushed and there wasnt enough feeling behind it other then that his chords were dead on

What happened to the string part? That's playable. I don't like how he played it.

what are the chords for the vocoder part of the song?

yeah, he messes up a few notes, misses a chord or two, doesn't have the rhythm down, but all in all good job. Thumbs up from me.
