If Christopher Reeves can make people believe a man can fly, Robin Williams is second to do that. Then again, Robin Williams and Christopher Reeves were friends.
I don't know about anyone else, but for some reason I always used to start laughing when Peter says "Daddy!" so happily and all you see is the teddy bear
I really dont know why so many critics didnt like the movie? Its not your traditional peter pan story with a young peter pan but dont look at it some much at the old cartoon peter pan. The only thing i really could agree with the critics is the sword fighting cheography. It was obviously very simple that didnt have much creativity or rehearsal doing it.. Aslo, Julia Roberts performance wasnt her best. Other than that it was a good fun family movie. Dustin Hoffman was superb.
I LOVE this film and what it symbolizes. "To live... that is a great adventure." One can grow up and not forget your child roots. You don't have to grow into a cold hearted cynic (i.e. a pirate). You can age gracefully and not forget "Neverland" (i.e. your childhood). On the other hand, there are many positive things about growing up (e.g. being a father.). This movie is very deep in meaning, at least for me.
I know this comment is a month old but I agree whole heartedly. That's why I love this story even more than the original, it's about remembering our authentic selves and keeping part of Peter Pan in all of us even if we all must grow up to a certain degree.
Easily one of my favorite scenes in any film ever. Brings tears to my eyes everytime. Screw the critics - this movie is amazing. And John Williams... is the man. 'nuff said.
Agreed. This is a great film. I saw it many times as a young child (was born in '89). When I was about 18 or so my sister picked up the DVD and I teased her a little about it (thinking it wouldn't hold up well with us being older now -- you know how you sometimes remember things as being better than they really were). How wrong I was! I enjoyed it every bit as much as before. Heck I need to rewatch it soon, it's been a few years. :(
When I see this movie (I can see it many many times) I alway become a child, everytime I cry at this scene (this and the one where the little boy said: "Oh, there are you Peter!" One of the best movies! Not only the basic characters like Peter and Hook, the kids are great and Julia Roberts as Tinker too!
Because I think Peter Pan produced fairy dust from his skin. Everyone else needed fairy dust and a happy thought to fly but Pan just needed the happy thought.
i apsolutly love this film i have been watching it everyday for the past 4 days i just cant stop watching it .. i was 1 when they first made it and i couldnt stop watching it when i was about 6 or 7 and im 17now its just got onto me again its really a remarkable movie i love it
THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST EVER MADE!!! Better than, yes even, Pirates of the carribean. Hook in this is so AMAZING!!!Love little black boy too! Robin makes a great Pan! Gives me the Chills. L.O.L
Yea, to me, this has so much more value and feel good moments than pirates of the carribean. I don't know, it's (hook) just way more entertaining in my opinion.
I always wanted to be a female version of Peter Pan, to be able to fly like that and never to grow up and live in Neverland.. Too bad that never happened :(
Yeah, i remember watching this when i was like 4 years old, it gets to me every time i watch it. in all fiarness, its probably best that they didn't make a second one, i mean it would kinda ruin the story. but if they could pull it off and make it good, then i'm for it, lol.
This brings back so many memories of being a child and wanting to fly away thanks for uploading this it gives me the same goosebumps as it did back then
quite possibly my whole childhood rewinding it over and over, the music is goosebumping always imagined donig that just flying away...really something everyone can relate too even now as adult still chills me always wondering if one day u can just fly away lol
shit...i remembe when this came out when i was 4, one of my favorite moveis ever...thank god they ended it off without an opening for a sequel, it would fuck it up for all of us if they did
I am amazed how many people feel the same about this movie, as myself. Child hood memories. This scene makes me feel as though there is a missing part of me that is waiting to burst out and return in all its glory! lol
this movie makes me feel like a kid again....i absolutely love it! i heard they are thinking about making a sequel...DONT!! youll ruin it for everybody!! same with goonies...DONT MAKE SEQUEL!!!!
the story fo this movie is amazing truly a Spielberg masterpiece
but if you think about it it`s too sad that Peter ended with Wendy`s grandchild... there is a scene in the movie where Wendy pactically said to him that even the day she married was in love with him and expected him to stop her wedding...
this is my favourite scene in a film, one of my happiest childhood memories, my biggest dream in the whole world and the only scene in a film which manages to take my breath away and give me goosepimples ever single time i watch it!
0:58 to 1:03 my favourite part of this whole movie.
