what trick flow heads do you have? are they the twisted wedge ? i have a nova im building a 355 with them heads, i heard they are very good heads. your car is very nice i love novas
Stupid music. It`s a shame so nice video about a car, ruined with this stupid noise in background. (the song is called Save Yourself from Stabbing Westward... in know about music.. but.... everything must be on the correct place: this is a car-video)
holy shit!! that was my car! (only white)me,my boyfriend,my brother and his worthless girlfriend lived in my 72 Nova for a year! we tore Florida up with that bitch. ah, the things we seen and went through were unbelievable.
i had a much newer video up but due to the retarded policies youtube has on copyrighted music in videos it was taken down. im surprised it hasnt taken this one down yet. its not like we are making any money off of this video.... just doing it for fun. anyway all of this footage is at least 2 years old.
I had a 69 & a 71....both SS.....both wrecked from drinking & driving when I was a teenager.....I hope you are always sober when driving....I am 47 now and sober 7 years.......I would give anything to have that black Betty......can't find any at at a reasonable rice anymore........I guess these videos are the closest I will ever get to having another beauty like yours....*sigh*
oh yes always sober. keep looking you get lucky every once in a while.. we are restoring another one we found right now. 69 Black SS with original 300 horse 350 engine block and m21 muncie, has original window sticker, protecto plate, and sales reciept. black buckets with center console with gauges in it, and factory in dash tach. its going to be a fun car when its finished
yeah its just a 355, un-ported trick flow aluminum heads, ross flat top pistons, victor jr, solid cam, nothing too wild. its been a 6.87 in ideal conditions with no nitrous
Wish my 71 was that straight, looks like it hooks great, how much tire & wheel you running? Backspacing? Minitubs? I can only get 8.5s with stock inners, need some more, little scared to hack it up by myself. Nice video, nicer car.
sorry i havent been on here in a while. im running hoosier 28X9 slicks. stock width 10 bolt, no mini tubs, mono leafs in stock location. only the shocks have been relocated
Thanks for the reply, it was a bracket car when I was in high school with welded spiders, slapper bars & 4:56s. But, when I was in h.s., we just bolted on wider wheels (who cares if they fit in the fenders). Car has been in storage for awhile now & started putting together a list of "want to's". Thanks to all of you who have posted answers for me. Be prepared to answer more queries as I go. Thanks again.
i guess hawkman gave already gave you all the info you need. but with 28 X 9 hoosiers mine will scrub just a little on the inside against the inner fender when im turning. we cut as much of the non necessary metal off as possible on the inner fender and massaged on it a little to gain more clearance... trimmed the inside lip of the quarter panel. works great when its going in a straight line.... no rubs
i already mentioned this somewhere else i think but we relocated the shocks inward. we fabricated a piece of tubing that would bolt to the inside of each "framerail" on the back to bolt the top of the shocks to. the car has competition engineering slide-a-links on it and we welded a tab to the inside of that for the bottom of the shocks. works great
I have 28x9 M/T's on my 72 nova. They dont rub at all. Matter of fact I can get put fingers between the slicks and fenders. No cutting of the fenders either
My dad Owns a 1972 Nova SS (The real SuperSport Package) An awesome year for the nova and the last untill they started modernizing them, From 72 to 73+ Is a Huge leap, they even made Hatchback Novas =[
