  • Just got my zero could anyone tell me what size lipo I can go up to I have 4 cell 4000 I think will be to heavy thinking of 3000

  • @SuperBooboolicious 3000 should be good, just make sure CG is right

  • where do you get those FMS plane? Nice video!

  • @flyfast thanks, they are available a lot online, hobby king nitroplanes. called FMS or Airfield in some areas

  • Great Flying and perfect song!

  • @pec0309 thanks a lot, cool cover tune

  • YES I LIKE FMS/AIRFEILD I HAVE THE 1400MM P40 AND IT HAS NO BAD HABITS KEEP THE GREAT VIDS COMING

  • @sco215 thanks a lot, been quite a few FMS /airfield planes at the field lately , to film

  • AMAZING AS ALWAYS.

  • @sco215 thanks a lot, we are really impressed with these FMS models. Be more out at the field for sure

  • Wow and whew. first flight occured today and man was it a shaky one lol. No wrecks or destruction. I succesfully managed to take off, fly the craft, and land it without incident. The original scheduled test flight was supposed to happen tomorrow, but a change in the forecast caused us to aim for today. Tomorrow the winds will be too high. Today was a great day with little-no wind whatsoever. I still have alot of learning to do and I am simply flying around for now. No fancy tricks. Went well :)

  • @nsrailfann4life91 excellent, glad you had a good flight. Keep working on the sim for the winter, and the trainer, and if you can, use something with ailerons, rather than just a rudder to get your stick fingers in tune with how easily an aileron plane can roll. If you can, get a simple pusher plane like a STryker and try it out, for some jet like action as well, before the scale flying F4. Strykers, funjet, any of those types would be better to try before the F4 still. Good luck

  • Great vids! What camera and video editing software are you using? Thanks!

  • @Budkeywest thanks, sony vegas and Sony HD cam both work great

  • WOW, the slow-mo shots where freaking fantastic, I kept expecting an F6F or similar to come in guns blazing and shoot her down! Brilliant.

  • I've been really tempted by some of the recent FMS models, the Zero and the Stuka particularly. Did you notice if the Zero have any bad points? Does it fly right with the CG set as per the manual? Great video as always, top stuff! Hope the weather gets better here soon, its 25-30 mph winds and alot of rain thrown in for added value....

Love the music track choice if not the actual song, lol!

  • @chiosex Didn't notice any bad characteristics of the Zero while Rick flew it, but I've flown a lot of the others and they seem really good. Only issue seems to be the need to add weight to get the CG right. CG in the manuals seem close for the most part, just remember to always make planes nose heavy for their first flight and then adjust as nesecary afterwards. Thanks, both versions of the song rock, Kinks and Incubus

  • I have the 1400 mm P-40 and the P-47. I also have an 800 mm P-47 just as a fun little toy to mess around with. They're all Airfield models. I recently lost the use of the left wing aileron servo. Need to get a replacement. Other than that the planes fly really well and look great too. I was wondering what kind of video editing software you use when you edit these clips for slow motion and such. And what kind of camera do you use to shoot the vide with?

  • @flyboywagner I use a sony HD cam and Sony Vegas for most of the editing. Some of the slow mo was done with the cam on 60fps mode but the editing software will let you slo mo stuff too

  • Very Nice, I have the P-51, Trojan, and the Cessna. All great planes, definitely liking this Zero.

  • @protusx most of the guys who buy one, get one or two more, FMS doing really good for most stuff thanks for watching

  • Another great video ,and i must say i like the zero as it has a nice shape in the air and looks to fly well to ....{"_*}

  • @spektrum33 yes, looks very good in the air, and flies well for sure. thanks for commenting

  • Way too cool, nice looking plane.

  • @rotorwash46 thanks bud, these FMS really look great

  • awesome airplane, retracts very cool, excellent slomos and vid Ronin. See you guys have snow, nice to see this plane doing laps in that scenery.

  • @beverke7 ya was one night of some snow, but lots up in the mountains already, and that one peak looks great. thanks, love slo mos when they look so scale

  • nice to see some all weather flying. nice plane, and piloting.

  • @vfrvtec ya we fly year round. thanks for watching

  • Great footage as usual, and nice flying to boot. Have to get my corsair and the zero out together for some formation...and follow it up with a bombing run with the Mitchell. These FMS planes look fantastic.

  • @AltitudeNeeded thanks Tyler, that will look great, the formation of lots of them will be so cool

  • nice video and airplane, cool :-)

  • @fluxful right on, flies really well. thanks for watching

  • Awesome.

  • @ljevans84 thanks bud, wasn't that cold that day, we've almost always got the propane firepits going too

  • Awesome as usual! I'm a product of the 80 and loved the soundtrack.

  • @lkgboater71 thanks man, ya awesome tune. This one is a cover by Incubus, but the Kinks version was great too.

  • Awesome Plane & Video!

    Thanks!

  • @poppopscarvinshop much appreciated

  • Love it! Finding the need to get one of these now.

  • @mreid08 thanks, you'll like it for sure

  • Looks awesome :-)

  • @Skydive4ever thanks man, we're going to have a lot of these FMS warbirds out one day

  • What! No bomb dropping???? Seriously though, very cool video as usual. Thanks!

  • @Real6ambler thanks a lot, I actually asked Rick during the flight if he was going to make the bomb drop. I'm sure we'll see it soon

  • Where can I get one of these and how much do they typically cost?

  • @nsrailfann4life91 thanks for watching should be a hobby shop local that sells RC planes. You can pick up a Supercub, great trainer, with the radio plane, batteries for the radio, a charger and lipo battery for around $150. You can get it online of course, just googler Hobbyzone Supercub. I'd suggest a radio control simulator as well, like Realflight . Costs about the same as the plane but after a crash, you hit the reset.

  • @warderseeker Ok cool thanks.I'm actually about to order an Exceed F-4E Phantom EDF RC Jet. I just gotta wait until after the holidays. I look foward to flying it. As for the sim and the trainer, a buddy of mine that lives literally 3 houses down has both of those things lol. I often ride out to the farmlands with him to watch him fly his RC planes. He has a F-117 Nighthawk, F14 Tomcat, as well as some other interesting planes such as a Warbird F4U Corsair. Interesting stuff.

  • @nsrailfann4life91 I'm sure the F4 will make a perfect trainer aircraft, lol. Good luck.

Seriously though, if you haven't flown, the F4 is probably a horrible choice. Too unstable and a ducted fan. Go with the suggested SuperCub. You will be happier in the long run, unless you like frustration and spending money.

  • @Cubdestroyer Thanks. I will be using my friend's training craft to learn the ropes and get the basics. I will stay with the training craft for around a month and gradually work my way up. Before I even think about flying an actual RC plane, I will first train on his simulators. I talked with him about all of this around 2 hours ago and he agreed. I will be taking my first flight in five days after doing 4 days of simultaion. The forecast calls for winds of 2 1/2 - 3 knots and an air temp of 53.

  • @nsrailfann4life91 you're going to fly the F4 after 4 days of sim time?

  • @warderseeker Nope. Not the F4. I havent even placed the order on the F4 yet lol. Im talking about the training craft. We have planned the first training flight for three days away as of now. My friend is going to help me and guide me through entire process both during the sim and the real test flight with his training craft. I will be glad to let you know what happens.

  • @nsrailfann4life91 ok good deal. Some guys get really discouraged after trying to fly stuff, and we dont' want that to happen. Excellent, ya let us know or better, get some video and post it, then share it

thanks for watching and ask questions anytime

  • @warderseeker Thanks. I won't give up easy. I love being creative and I build alot of stuff including decks, paper models, plastic models, etc, etc, so I am used to the "Fail at first, fail again, fail again again, then succeed." lol. I will be sure to let you know how it goes. If I can ever get my cam-corder working before the first flight, I will video it, but it's pretty banged up. Thanks again.
