Unless you're refering to AFTER the drop when it goes into the water river section, then yeah. But on the drop and around the corner it's completely latched on; It has a roller coaster-like system with three sets of wheels.

Please take a physics class. It is physically impossible that the 60-foot drop on Daredevil Falls can achieve speeds of 60 mph. In a vacuum without wind resistance or any kind of friction, a 60-foot drop will get you up to 45 mph at best.

The lady was 300lbs and the lap bar did not restrain her properly. It happened in late 2001.

In 2002 (around the time Xcelerator opened) the park reopened the ride with four point restrains.

In 2006, the park gave the ride new boats with OTSRs.

Yes, in 2001 a over weight woman fell to her death. The restraints were not designed for some one that was 300lbs. After the accident the park added four point restraints to the seats. Those where apart of the ride until summer of 2006, when the park got two new boats with OTSRs.
