  • Johnny was so ahead of his time

  • HAHAHA WALTER'S GIGGLE ON ''WHAT DO YOU LEARN FROM HIM?''

  • the ....whats sad is we never get to hear Johnny speak about himself...were all searching for the availibility of like 2 or3 interveiws...but you can tell how quick his mind was

  • Tony Wilson is a fucking idiot!!!

  • I'm English and I fucking hate the TV presenters from years ago. They're so smug and patronising.

  • What a fucking a total cock Tony Wilson is. Stupid posh cunt!.......c'mon Johnny hit him!!!!!!!

  • Johnny Thunders fans, anyone knows where the fuck is that genious swedish interview with Johnny Thunders? It used to be on youtube, but i cant find it anymore. Its a very rare interview, and very cool.

  • I swear, English journalists are probably the biggest assholes there are. I guess no one can accuse them of lobbing softball questions at least.

  • Walter is great. "Is my hair on fire?"

  • These two really made an artform out of appearing aloof and bored. "Chow Mein..." what a prick. Love it.

  • @youhavegeniusshins Heroin will do that to ya.

  • lol...looking like a lesbian! i love johnny's response, "my mother never thought that"

  • I remember watching this and interviewed Waldo a few years ago...he remembers the pub in town with the ladies panties on the roof.....Tony Wilson was such a fuckin' douche back then.....

  • this is the rarest type of thing, johnny was up against an onslaught of criticizm coming constantly...alot of the people around ,writers...scene people...would flip off a two or three word comment..... and feel exalted...without the kudos of the third dolls album...because it never came to be.....heand jerry were all but unknown..........they went it without ;the usual protections..agent,....Johnny self promoted......himself...by wiping up the stage with anybody

  • I want to piss on all of them!

  • wth? looking like a lesbian? what rock did that guy climb out from under??

  • FUCK YOU ALL.

  • im pretty sure thunders is being sarcastic with the gay shit cuz the dolls all dressed like the guys in poison but it was way before poison so ppl just thought they were gay or somethin. even tho if u look at pics of them thunders is always just in a leather jacket and and a pair of pants like ONE pic of him wearing any kind of makeup he never looked like those guys

  • Is Richard Hell in this interview?

  • @CerebralCrisis No, He stayed in the Heartbreakers just one year, and after he left, the band was called "Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers"

  • "By drugs, I'm not going to ask what, but I know your drummer drinks which I find shocking"

"Yeah, I find that shocking myself"

    HAHAHA

  • interviewer: I know your drummer drinks, which I find shocking..

johnny: yeah I find that shocking myself

interviewer: alright listen, walter and johnny that you very much.

    johnny: chow mein

  • did Billy Rath EVER talk?? I swear, I've never seen 'em opening his mouth other than in some pictures...

Johnny looks fantastic of course, but Walter don't look too bad either...

  • @shashwati billy rath was known as `just a bass player`

  • He was so much more than that, though huh

    :D

  • hilarious

  • What's the obsession with homosexuality? Who cares?

And what the fuck is the interviewer going on about Thunders "looking like a lesbian"? No wonder so many musicians hate doing interviews.

  • too bad that rotten were yelouse of their style and that they created punkrock, uk punk made us punkrock look bad and they were ashamed of that scene with pins and all that shit. ever watched any documenteries on punk?

  • @youthfulpunk15 no he didnt he never looked like the other guys

  • Johnny dressed fucking great! Im a dork...hang head in shame...

  • Man! Johnny looks like mix between a your Robert DeNiro and a young Bob Dylan. Nice to see early interviews like this.. All the later ones he is so fucked up on drugs.

  • Fruit Loops, but man, did bands have attitudes in those days. Character, style; no wonder they made great music.

  • Ask Walter Lure about that.

  • are you sure this vid is from '78? that Junkies pin would be 2-3 years old, seems like they are talking about the Anarchy Tour which was '76. Also by '78 JT was mostly in NY doing one reunion show after another and didnt quite look this clean

  • Every homophobe is a repressed homosexual, it's a fact.

  • Great interview btw, r.i.p. Genzale.

  • jerry did more than drink

  • Walter is Bi.

  • ive seen some interviews and stuff that he also did flirt with a guy a few times after he was done hooking but johnny ramone said hed kick him outta the band in the early days around 75..if its true who knows the early ny days is hard to tell sometimes

  • Dee Dee would killed Johnny, the whole band hated his junk habit as well and they still couldnt dump him till 89 i think

  • they didn't dump him, he left the band to do rap...which didnt turn out great.

  • fu fu fu fu fu funky

  • In the beginning, Punk was not so homo or trans-phobic. That happened later when the movement was taken over by fake punks and skinheads. And many in all the different bands were Gay or Bi themselves. I wont say any of the names, but one of the Clash, one of the Pistols, and the singer of the Buzzcocks of course, and quite a few more...And of course Gene October and his little *to do* with Billy Idol. And Walter Lure of the Heartbreakers. Oh, it goes on, believe me!!! - Jayne County

  • @fIamingo500 apparently punk only happened in the uk?

    =P

  • Is That Tony Wilson?

  • ..the one and only...

  • Bob Mellon?

    haha

    2:18

  • @iloveferminA

So fucking funny! They kicked so much ass

  • ha ha ha! when told how "shocking" the drummers' drinking is to the interviewer (if he only knew that jerry nolan was a no-nonsense, fuck alla bullshit, nitty-gritty,needle inna prick heroin addict!), johnny replies, "I find that shocking as well", and at this, the whole band shares a laugh! i fuckin looovit!!

  • "terminal indifference' --what fucking abuse -holey

  • haha the interviewer trys to ad some snyde little comments in there but johnny clearly makes him look a fool i thought that tony wilson was ok untill i watched this

  • J.T. is the coolest!! The interviewer sounded like a prick.

  • tony wilsons a big mouth

  • ciao mein...

  • This thing is full of great quotes.

  • i think its from the latter part of the anarchy tour because JT's hairs grown back a bit

  • "We don't talk about rock & roll, it's very natural to us"

    Wow, what a quote!

Thanks a lot man for posting this, I remember the 30 second clip and I wanted to see more. Don't know where you found it but thanks!

    Cheers,

    -Dan
