  • Cool! but if your camera has infrared remote capability, you or someone who want to try time-lpase photography, could use an infrared time-lapse remote like this one: tempus.bymac.org

  • Dang it looks like its daylight out at night, how do yall sleep, I'm from Houston and I never saw it that bad!!!!! Would love ta vist New York one day though.... do they sale sun shades there? lol jus kiddin!!!!! :D

  • Nice! Check my movie This is Zlin. Its time lapse of my city! I filming it for 1 year!

  • man i'd love to be let loose in NY with a camera and a tripod! timelapse city!

  • Sound, and high quality render would have made this superb. You have some great footage, it just doesn't look the greatest because of the stupid youtube compression issues.

  • set your shots up every 3o sec to 1 minute, it is smoother, add a warming filter. and never give up, nice work! sirfranko

  • yeah thats what i did in my other ones, this was my first attempt. I agree 100% with you.

  • you need a soundtrack...

  • I do, someone actually took all my time lapses and put it to radiohead, looked cool. its on youtube somewhere

  • Your video is sort of a mirror to my "Dinner Time" video. I shot my video in my apartment looking in as opposed to looking out. -bureyeanne

  • this city never sleeps

  • I wish you guys would put music in these t/lapse videos.

  • boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i wish i could give u a 0 a big fat 0 that sucked

  • ooOOooOo sum hardcore action goin on in the room toward the bottom right :P

  • what program did u use and camera to get the vidoe to fast foward like that

  • I took automatic interval photos on a nikon SLR and combined them in quicktime. Pretty simple.

  • boring

  • I agree

  • very nice, see if you can get the arc of the Moon in the frame next time. Looks really good!

  • Yeah i didnt know it was going to come through at all, kind of a surprise

  • woahh does new york city ever sleep? XD

  • I agree, i made much better ones later

  • O3o Nice composition.

  • The video played way too fast the first time I viewed it. I think this is a bug with the software with videos that have a low framerate. Other people may be getting the same result, going by some of the comments!

  • its playing at the speed i set it. Not much happens in this one so watching a slow version would be boring with no real payoff. My other videos had more going on and last 24 hours

  • LOL

  • Oooh.. really cool, and that "ghost" did look creepy!

If you look at it though, it doesn't stay a single body as a ghost apparition would, it floated around and changed shapes like a puff of smoke...

    creepy, but not real :P

  • G-G-G-G-G-GHOST!!!

  • cool wow !!!!

  • that was like 3 hours of filming.... CRAP!

  • Kewl

  • it was smoke

  • This video is boring as hell!

  • I saw it, looked like a black shadow or funnel going up the side, its around frame 0:25

  • Wow, it really is the city that never sleeps ._.

  • about the ghost, it all depends on whether or not you believe in them ;D

personally i do. maybe someone was going for a walk?

  • da clouds looked kool

  • yo there isnt a ghost at 0:26, or is there?

  • Koyaanisqatsi.... Koyaanisqatsi... .... :)

Oh wait, did you guys see the ghost in that film on the right side of the image at 0:26? Creepy.

No, really I like this little film, especially how the lights in the highrise come on and off, and also how the moon enters the picture kind of random-matter-of-factly.

  • it was a flock of birds

  • whats this? rofl

  • cool

  • its fake boys

  • weres your proof?

  • I see them outside my window. We are neighbors.

  • Excellent!

  • Is that Waterside Towers?

  • yes! :)

  • aaaa

  • HAHA....some of them never go to bed!

  • I know, pulling all nighters

  • Crap

  • o.o' how long it take... but awesome =p

  • It was about 4 hours before the camera battery died, the plan was to let it go until morning :P

I have some better 24h ones i did later.

  • nice! really cool!

  • cool, what city is this?

  • New York City

  • learn to read

  • I just didn't notice before. There's no need for you to be so rude.

  • lmao dumb ass its new york

  • its new york city retard

  • Looks like a scene from Blade Runner... Interesting !

  • When I see this a I remember a project I worked on a long time back of time lapsed video we shot of farmers huts in various rural areas.

It was always interesting to note the number of times Yumuyug-yug yung mga Kubo! hehehe

Nice work - keep it up.

  • Very cool. Has a lot of interesting stuff going on.

  • Thanks, it was fun doing it. Its my first attempt though and I would probably try to change a few things with the exposure, I don't like how the lights on the bottom right are so overwhelming. Not to mention that the battery ran out of power half way through the night, if only nikon d200 power adapter was available anywhere for sale...

  • thanks for the awesome video. i love youtube!! would you mind writing what type of camera you used, computer program, and other details so others can experiment? thanks again for the cool videos.

  • I used a nikon d200 set to take photos in 2 minute intervals. The reason the sun never comes up is that the battery ran out, I later got a power supply. Since this was an image sequence, I used quicktime pro, which has the simplest way to combine them in to a movie.
