  • Dirty.

  • I question the percussive intelligence of anybody that thinks they should have placed higher than 3rd. They absolutely raised the bar on GE, but their musical performance was nowhere close. An easy book(relative to the competition), and execution that was not championship quality.

  • except for that one part dirting out, pretty awesome

  • They actually didn't play terribly while the drums were moving. I forgot about that.

  • cool

  • ohh wow they do the same solo every time

  • thank you i thought i was the only one who noticed that

  • Actually they don't. They use the spinning stand every time but it's a different solo.

  • Oh wow, I didn't think they could duht. I mean, it's not like it's in the japanese vocabulary.

  • are you serious?

  • That "duht" isn't in the Japanese vocabulary?

  • "duht" is a international drummer vocab. they all say it.

  • @LoserBandKid007 HAHAHA!!!!!

  • Holy crap.....TIS' AMAZING!!!

  • Sugoi! this is awesome!

  • WOAH!

  • What year was this.

  • 2006

  • WOW.

  • sound was wayy offf, but still cool. aimachi is an amazing drumline. id join if i could.

  • All i can say is what the fuck are they eating in Japan!!!!! lmao

  • some fucking sushi rolls bro!

  • Haha... I bet the are!!!!

  • those must be some fucked up sushi rolls

  • I bet!!!! lol

  • Holy crap that was tight!

  • I was there when that video was taken. I'm in the Everett High School Percussion ensemble from Everett, MA. We got robbed from 1st place by .5 twice. Oh the memories...

  • LOL let me set it straight- Aimachi is NOT the name of the town they are from!!

but i totally just saw them today!! it was awesome. they're such cool ppl. i have a better version of the solo on my page- not to discredit yours... but my sound lines up.

    fuck yeah aimachi!!

  • Yeah, they're the shit.

But they don't have an age out limit.

Some dudes on that line are upwards of 30.

  • I play vibe and im a front ensmb. percussion but every time i see that sole.....there are no word man.....amazing uterly amazing....just sick

  • Cool

  • h/o let me go change my underwear =)

    holy shit

  • i've been to aimachi . THEY ROCK!

  • Oh man. seeing that at prelims that year was one of the most exciting experiences ever. Considering most hadn't seen their show prior to it, because, well, they're from Japan, the collective reaction from everyone in the Nutter Center when the tenors started their feature was just overwhelming.

I couldn't stand MCM's show. I was too distracted by all the gimmicks to notice the difficulty or cleanliness of the book.

  • these guys are simply bad ass.

  • that has to be the craziest shit i ever seen...not even some dci line can do this

  • Would be even more enjoyable if the video+audio actually lined up... Thought it was my home computer, but tried an a brand new machine on a T1 - didn't help.

  • yeah they didn't deserve first, MCM's book was harder, and Aimachi's guard hurt them for the fact they had a huge roll. I'd rather them get rid of the guard and have to drums do it all.

  • it was awesome, no doubt, but it certainly wasn't 1st place worthy compared to MCM. still, they should've gotten 2nd tho...

  • yes exactly second would have been better mcm was just amazing

  • ummm....That made my eyez water!

  • Nope, it was a first place show for sure.

  • I dont think they should've gotten first, but the show was excitin tho.

  • I saw that. Their prelims performance was absolutely top-notch; finals, eh not so much but still noteworthy.

Props to them for being the first ones to do something like that and even MORE props for it being relatively clean.

  • -VERY- creative.

  • they should have gotten first, the crowd went so nuts for them,,,,

    ps. its aimachi from japan

  • Anyone know who this is?

  • they are aimachi they come straight from tokyo japan im hoping to try out for them one day

  • They are 7 hours south of tokyo by bus...A place called handa outside of nagoya. Good luck with the audition.

  • the clue is in the title! lol

  • WGI! They were sooo awesome man !! I still can't believe they got the 3rd !! they totally deserve 1st place!! the quad break was awwwwesome

  • They were first in visual and GE, but they came in 5th in music.

  • I remember when we were there for world how everyone boo'd the judges because they thought that Aimachi should have gotten a higher score, then after booing the judges Aimachi got a standing ovation from the crowd

  • @ixnxvxu Quad break: awesome! Rest of the show: not so awesome.

  • wtf!

  • WGI

  • Nice.

Is that a DCI or WGI line?

  • whoa.. very cool :)
