I love Jill too - and I briefly considered being willing to cancel Halloween in her honor...but you are too right, Di. Last night the Castro was like a morgue (and not in a good way). I'd rather spend every Halloween whooping it up, ringing in Jill's birthday in style just like New Year's!

Halloween on the "Castro" San Francisco's "Gay District" has been popular for years but over the years it grew in attendance by outsiders! Who would gaybash people, stab people, shoot people and otherwise make for not such a fun time! This year the city voted AGAINST any celebration. The Castro has been known to draw huge crowds (250,000+). This year parties were mostly in bars or clubs & the Castro was closed for business! ciao bella, Rey
