If you mean the F-14B, then yes. If you're talking about the F-14A or the Super Cat, then...good luck with that.

Take the Falken, for instance. It's a great plane, but it's useless if an inexperienced rookie is at the controls. The A-6 Intruder, is an attack aircraft, but can hold its own if an ace pilot is at the controls. Look at it that way. Simple comparisons, don't you think?

good plane choice though the camo would be inappropiate in a real attack, theyd stick out as a sore thumb in that white-blue background............i beat this mission with the hornet

You just have to be quick with shooting down enemy planes.

I always picked the F-14D for that mission, just because of the XLAAs. If you don't have that plane or don't want to use it, I would go with the classic: the F-15C.

How do you get that cool view when you launch the SOD? Do you hold down the button that lets you change targets (triangle on the PS2)?

I'm trying to beat this mission on Expert with the Su-35...man those AA cannons are not forgiving.

The way you get that view is to hold down the weapons fire button.

I know how you feel about those AA fire, I failed this mission twice before I finally got this recording of it. =P

you can do it one of two ways:

No. 1 - the long way: have an aircraft with anti-g loading, fly over the sub, spam the anti-g payload, rinse-repeat, or --

No. 2 - the fast, easy way: if you have the ADF-01 Falken, just use its laser once or twice and it should go down

or no.3 the medium easy way use any aircraft with anti-sub missiles and press select to change in to the special weapon.

ok, thats part of the problem. what mission are you on? depending on where you are in the game, you should be able to see the second paint scheme already.
