no..because in this show their is a lot of lying and changing the rules to fit the plot....You don't age in the soul society, renji and rukia aged...you don't die in the soul society, renji and rukia's friends died...and furthermost..Ichigo in 10 days gets strong enough to defeat the captain of squad 11 who has been at this for hundreds of years....its dissapointing -_-..

That's weird. In the Shonen Jump magazine, he says it's because shinigami are associated with the color black, but it would have been boring to use "black". "White", on the other hand, can suggest black as a complementary color. So Tite Kubo chose "bleach" to evoke the impression of the color white and have a cool title.
