  • very interesting

  • wouldn't it have been better to design that drop wall as a roof/awning to protect from sun and rain??

i mean, Costa Rica after all.

    just saying.

  • @gljohnson33 Actually we thought of that but the weight is too much. We install awnings instead.

  • Not so cute"....seen beter ones

  • with a car? why not with hydraulics... wont that be dangerous for regular use?

  • Appreciate your attitude and honesty. Nice video.

  • COCAINE SHOLD BE USED ONCE IN A WHILE NOT EVERYDAY

  • Also, if you might considered using the end doors to support a deck, which could compensate the less cutting of the side wall, still a lot of light and air coming into the building. Or even more interesting to have interesting building elevation and a stronger structure to resist the tropical hurricane ! George Wu, AIA 2012-1-6

  • As an architect, I believed that the structural integrity of the container is destroyed the way the entire side of the container was cut out completely. Yes, you could do it with reinforcement, but it is not the understanding way to use the container. However , it does not have to be one end to end opening, which could still be done with two or more smaller openings, and it will also be lighter to close the glass opening with two or more decks. • HELP me! I'm stuck trying to sell shipping container homes in Costa Rica! Please, I just want to go back to Wisconsin. Mom, Dad? I was really drunk, and she was so slutty looking. I swear I didn't know she was 14! PLEASE get me a lawyer, I'm willing to confess, go to jail, ANYTHING if I can just come home? ------ jim08816cr

P.S the guy that owns container homes, makes me dress as a girl. Mom, he is a BAD man.

  • nice one!. Beautiful shelter.

  • I've done a lot of container research. This looks more like snake oil. Maybe it's the spray on tan.

  • bathroom privacy please...

  • i think it's wonderful. but you didn't have to show us the safe. lol.

  • If I was to hire you to install a house like this on my lot in Jaco area, what kind of building permit do I need to obtain? How costly is it going to be?

  • @luismorales05

Please send any quote requests to admin@containerhomesDOTnet

  • Good job! Now I know where the safe! I was close!

  • dont forget the concrete piers to sit the house on...

  • thats perfect for the apocalipse

  • How do the electrical wall units work?

  • Man I want to make something like this. FU)K you Mortgage's

  • Looks like you could crack that 'hidden' safe w/ a can opener...

    But cool house anyway!

  • Love the dogs..."Are we going for a ride!!?" This home is super neat. It's so light and happy. I could totally imagine one of these in my garden!

  • Uhm where can I put my clothes ?

  • How much are these

  • How do you get water or power into the unit? Is it made for off the grid?

  • Garage door opener ?

  • Oh shit that is tight.

  • I noticed no embedded hooks in the wall for the SM.

  • i thought of this yesterday and decided to youtube it to see is anyone else has thought of it, i am going to build one on my grandfathers land in BFNW kentucky i will have a garage and a basement and 2 floors above that.

  • YES it's a great idea to help the dislocated in tohoku earthquake exc.ysmr.com/top_e/a

  • crime is pretty severe up here in the states as well. We have a different name for it though "federal government".

  • @jwalk1014 LOL good one!! TRUE!!

  • Wow Jim , here in australia we use Bondor insulation 50 mm double aluminium sheet 1200 wide any height, They interloc, soild in t/sport aluminium angle around the tops , with 50 c channel on the bottom , We also use 100x 50 rhs for door ways and windows. Starting on a 30foot office next week roller door storage , about 26 feet inside, full electrics and internet, windows , sliding doors with roller shutters, going to video this from start to finish , hope you will see this when its on .cheers.

  • This is incredible in so many ways. Just right off skipping the whole Thoreau Walden concept and every philosopher on earth saying to be happy; simplify your life.

Many people, myself included, have to live on less and using already existing structures that can withstand awesome forces will make sure it is not a house made of straw so the wolf can't blow it down and the costs makes it very hard for Simon Legree to take it from us.

Awesome potential in so many ways. Thanks for a bit of hope.

  • hi sir , how can i contact with you about container houses to work to geather we have agood company in constarction work like this. hope to answer thanks

  • Wow be great for the Philippines and Australian market any chance of this in the future?

  • @rechargelife About 5 big companies are doing this , and getting units from overseas standard units only , but custom units are made here in austraila. I have been doing this for about 26 yrs now and doing this right now. Doing lots for mining and industries up north (WA) in the hot zone temps up to 60 degs .

  • you can also put a container above and have 2 bedrooms upstairs - shower would also be better upstairs too.

  • B.e.a.utiful !D Brilliant Idea!

  • We are now able to manufacture these shipping container homes in the USA.

  • @jim08816cr HI, How much does it cost for one room like this one? I like it.. the only thing is that i am concerned about is "RUST" part. second is in summer.. how hot does it get.. and in winter how cold does it take? do you have solar panels?

  • @TheGreenfrog140 Go to our products and prices page on our website

  • @jim08816cr what is the website address?

  • @TheGreenfrog140

    The website is containerhomesnet

  • @TheGreenfrog140 you roast sweat like a pig and dont need a fridge in the winter walls and roof is r5 but we will include a free XL snuggie with every purchace.

  • @SuperNobama1 lool

  • @TheGreenfrog140 rustolyem 15.99 a gal but most of them are painted befor hand

  • @jim08816cr are you saying you have now set up an office and work site in the USA, or you ship now to the USA?

  • Very cool. Great website by the way! When are you going to start shipping them to the US?

  • Very cool! I am currently looking at getting one to build me a tiny shop BEHIND our garage..

  • Impressive!

  • They need to set a surplus cargo freighter aside and load it with converted shipping containers next time there is a disaster set sail to the area and provide instant housing for disaster crews whoever does this will make a billion dollars. If this is done right this could be set in industrial areas used reloaded for disasters.

  • ! Great job !!! I´ve just visited your page. As an architect I must tell you that your work is amazing. I would really look forward to meet you soon. Best regards!

  • to small

  • You are very cute Jim !!! xx

  • Very cool. Unfortunately, these are illegal where i live.

  • @tsal01570 illegal??? where do you live???

  • @dustenjones WTF what ?

Saludos.-

  • really well done, I want one!

  • Nice!

  • @dustenjones car keys man - car keys...

  • this is a perfect example of how we can house everyone. There are many shipping containers all over the world that just sit around and pile up. There should be some sort of project to make homes like this available to the poor and homeless.

When you sell these do you sell them an inexpensive price?

  • how much is thi unit

  • well done

  • @jim08816cr :- do you take customer designs and requests?

  • @jawbraeka Yes we take custom designs and requests

  • just cool!

  • @ShinobinoMono2469 how about research the actual video and send some questions directly to his website or leave them here instead of being so critical straight off the block... im sure that these homes are built to standards that would be held up by a building authority... furthermore, i would assume that 15,000 is reasonable as this does look quality.... sounds like someone was decieved by another person or company... or was it this company?

  • @ShinobinoMono2469 are yo sure about all this?

  • Comment removed

  • I am not old enough to be a home owner, but this is something I want! (Your marketing team might want to know that haha)

    Can you add solar power?

  • Do you have one in 48ft .Bigger some storage for my stuff.closets

  • awesome and very functional

  • EXELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • does it rust or corrode?

  • These units can rust if water collects on them in damaged areas. However they are maid from Corten steel that won't rust or corrode and is Mold resistant The Corten steel is used both inside and outside and is stronger than normal steel

  • How does the plumbing system work?

  • The plumbing system is very basic.

  • Ship them 2 Haiti & New Orleans before the Gov. wastes/steal all the donations.. remember Katrina..

  • Yeah and dont forget 9/11... Fuckin red cross..

  • these are cool, but I want a TARDIS like from Dr. Who

  • @jannonymous he said he takes requests.

  • Awesome idea.

  • to be honest what's safer then basically a giant safe for a home. those containers are build like rocks. probably would be hard to steal from a giant steel container

  • I have no idea how these units are in cold weather. We do insulate, so I would imagine with a heater inside they should be just fine.

  • Excellent vid. What a fun guy. I'd love to own a home like that one. How well do they stand up to cold temperatures?

  • how much the cost of a box like this in dollars?

  • The prices start at $15,000. We are currently exporting as well.

  • Jimmy looked like an anchorman from cbsnews.

  • que bonito... this is my next home ...good idea to work with youtube

  • realy cool.. Looking at doing something myself like this too....

  • this is awesome! i want one!!

  • Very, very clever. Could easily be made a doublewide.

  • Wow this is really amazing. I love the way the security wall folds down and becomes a wood deck. Very ingenius.

This is real eco-living... a small house with a small footprint. Portable and mainly from recycled content.

    Good work!
