They Were the UFO When Schenker Was at The Helm And Only Then. All Others Were Wanna Be's! Wanna Do's! Sorry! So Sorry They((Phill /Michael)) Could not Get Along! We Were The Lossers There an Now.
Chapman was awsome when he was in Lone Star also. It's just not quite the same without WunderKindt on Guitar, but this is an excellent version. Thanks for the upload.
This is one of the greatest songs ever, just NOT this version. There is something lost in this, probably because the loss of Schenker/Raymond's artistry, soul, and feeling. Great bands are a sum of the players, not to be meddled with, they aren't interchangeable,as heard here.
@rjohntwister people always had a bad opinion about Chapman,, and he knew it.. i seen UFO countless times in the 80's, and you could tell he was under pressure , but he was good , believe me
Paul Chapman is ok on this version of this song and isn't a bad studio musician, but his live playing is quite subpar. Plays alot of notes out of tune too. I rally don't like his guitar sound...sounds like a cheap distortion pedal sold at a record store..
Chapman does an outstanding performance here - such a solid no frills, minimal effects guitarist. he was incredible to see live in Aug 1977 when Schenker had one of his hissy fits - just a foot or two from the stage. He played a black Les Paul and worked his tail off - sweated like no other guitarist I've seen. This was at the Show Place in Dover NJ. Schenker got over his mood swings and rejoined again shortly thereafter in Nov. only to depart and rejoin .. ambivalent fucker.
Impossible to repeat one of the most legendary solos in mankind by Schenker, but Paul Chapman is an excellent player. Listen to Anyday or Mystery train.
I remember when MIchael flew the coop. they held auditions in Hollywood cuz they were in the middle of a tour without a guitar player. My friends said go audtion i laughed i said its not Carol King dude its Schenker... i should have just so I could say i did but i knew only the very fucking best could even get in the door.
My God, UFO are so good. This song is my personal favorite of all time. I can never get enough of it. This lineup did some very good original material too. I loved No Place to Run and The Wild, the Willing and the Innocent. Long live UFO.
@timjessa1 you're welcome , the guy that posted this video did type Neil Carter on the info but sometimes is missed & Neil has a different look here than when he played with the late Gary Moore ( r.i.p )..
his head is shaved now, he was back with Gary Moore unfortunatelly Gary passed away!!
Its a BC Rich 10 String Bich...strung as a regular 6 string. AWESOME guitars, totally innovative...play like a dream. Back when BC Rich were totally boutique...before they got hijacked by the "metal" crowd and for some stupid reason, their rep went a little south! Anyone that plays and appreciates handmade guitars should check out any 1976 - 1986 thru-neck BC Rich.

@ganger1994 I like the music they made with Chapman almost as much as I like the Schenker stuff....almost......UFO is just a great band

Paul Chapman sucks at the Schenker stuff. I like him and the albums he did with UFO but....
he lacked the feel and precision to do justice to Michael's stuff. Always sounded clumsy to me.

This is truly dreadful, shows how Schenker was irreplaceable and in a class of his own.

Interesting. Too slow, kinda drags. I like this line-up but Paul Chapman sounds clumsy when he plays Michael's stuff.
