It was released in 1998. The Wii came 8 years later with somewhat higher capabilities than than gamecube.

As much as I'd like to believe that the Dreamcast is superior to many other systems, it's specs aren't.

Can't do what, specifically? Component video (Wii) is superior to S-Video (DC). 480p (Wii) is superior to 480i (DC). A 729MHz CPU (Wii) is superior to the Dreamcast's 200MHz CPU. The Wii has more than twice the amount of RAM the DC did.

I really don't know what your basing your statements on, but as far as you opinion goes, the fact of the matter is that the Wii is more powerful than the Dreamcast. Does it have better graphics than it? That's subjective to who you ask and what games you compare

There is a way, but you would have to do a moderate amount of careful editing to get the bare logo.

It's close to the area of pixel-by-pixel comparison. I was thinking of doing it, but I was indecisive about how much time it would take.
