@PennGR there's more then 2 theres M7, D7, -7, -7(b5), and 7 fully diminished. so that makes 5 types of 7, but i think there is more those are the ones i know oh yea there -7(b9), 7(+4).
Yeah, but the 7 in a 7m chord is no different than the 7 in a major chord. It's the same interval, so what you are writing are different chords containing a seven, but as far as I know, there are only two sevens, even though you can make lots and lots of chords with just these two.
@PennGR but the fully diminished double flats the 7 in the chord so that 7 changes. what are we arguing about? fck it ima listen to buckethead...i hate theory, but its nice to know it.
Bought this album of iTunes. A true masterpiece when it comes to the calmer and more emotinoal work of Buckethead (like Colma, Electric Tears). This song is awesome. Great main riff, has kind of that "mistery" touch to it. A feelgood chours, and that slide-thing at 1:15 is just epic. Buckethead does it again!
@6378962ROCK Yes but no. Brain isn't from GnR. I heard the band hired him at BH's request, but Buckethead had played with him in numerous projects prior to that. Brain is better known as one of the drummers from Primus.
Thanks for uploading this. Sounds like a real winner and a departure from his heavy stuff, which is OK by me. I like both. Goin' to TDRS right now to buy, even though they have a post saying that they are not shipping until the 17th. Gotta have it!
Yes, go to TDRS Music and purchase. There is even a section where you can donate to an artist if you get a lot of free down loads and want to ease you mind.
For a second I was kind of dissapointed with this album because I expected it to have more of a heavy sound to it, but now that I understand it's supposed to be real down to earth stuff it sounds amazing. I was just a little thrown off, but my god this is a good album.
Thanks for putting it up, however, I think everyone should buy it if they like it. :) It's an awesome album and Buckethead definitely deserves the sales.
...is this or is this not truthfully one of his best songs?

Holy shit the drums in the first verse are incredible! The chorus is also awesome, and so is the whole song. One of my favourites from the album.

The intro sounds very similar to Radiohead's "The Trickster" but from a different angle. Nice song.

Locrian mode FTW haha. This whole song has a weird, mysterious mood and gives me a feeling I've never felt before.
And does anybody else think that 1:22 sounds like a whale song?

-7(b5) ftw...if its locrian, then whats its relative major? HUH!!?
ER052092 2 years ago
@ER052092 I don't believe it's -7.
It's 7(b5)m.

@PennGR thats what i said....-7(b5)
ER052092 1 year ago
@ER052092 no, you said -7, which the same as 6. There are only two 7's, the 7, and the maj7 (+7)
